The catering company we get in to run the bar are proper shit. Poor beer offer, don't train their staff, only employee students. They offer the worst service possible, and we don't get a choice but to use them.

It's likely they outsource it to a catering agency who then provide the staff. If you're over 18 you're thrown on the bar regardless (most of the agency staff will be under 18 and serve food).

That's how it used to be anyways when I worked for first contact 20 years ago.

Did a beer tasting of (William) Sharps brewery a few months ago. Their beers are genuinely bad. Never ever buy their new one "Offshore" because it's absolutely grim.

And I'm not a fussy guy, I'll drink whatever. But seriously they're awful. Doombar is their best one and I don't like that either.

The cider is presumably absolutely normal cider, dunno. Fair chance it's also unpleasant, based on the beers!
