Beattie's future

I agree it was a chance missed. Beattie should have been utilised as soon as bloody JP scored their third. Does Beattie charge per minute played or summat?

If you were manager and wanted to change your striker, would you of bought someone on who has been playing regular, is match fit and not been playing badly of late or someone who has been injured and not match fit who the jury is still out on??

I think that is why DW bought Cresswell on with half hour or so to go, Good decision by me.

I would like to see BT play a more active role and I agree that 2/3 mins when we are 1 down probably isn't giving him chance to shine-
More like get on and confuse their defence if we have an attack - similiar to sending your keeper up for the last corner.

I hope he gets on at the weekend and earns a contract but at the moment I trust DW with this

They are a group of clubs that aspire to consolidate themselves in League One (Division Three), usually have crowds of 6-7,000 maximum and have spent most of their history in the lower reaches of the Football League!
You can add the following clubs to that group:- Bury, Colchester, Yeovil, Walsall, Brentford, Wycombe, Leyton Orient, Stevenage,Exeter City
I consider that the Blades, Wendy, Charlton, Huddersfield are bigger clubs with higher aspirations, larger wage budgets and attract larger crowds
How simple is it?

I think that Wapping Great Blade's point is that there is only one of each of those, all with a unique name, so it's "Bury", or possibly "teams like Bury" or even "the likes of Bury" not "the Burys".

In answer to your question therefore, very simple, he's right and you're wrong :-)

By all accounts Wilson has said he needs to be honest with BT and that he is too good to be warming the bench as he is now. Appears that DW just doesnt fancy playing Ched and BT from the start together so I now think that we will not be extending the contract.

Fair comment BUT he did get little or no service. Why take flynn off? Williamson was poor second half with his crosses

I said exactly the same, seemed silly taking Flynn off, however I want Flynn to be at 100% for Tues night. I'll settle for today's workmanlike performance if it means we are fresh for Yeovil and Bury.

Flynn has been great lately. Showed a good turn of speed as well today
