So then what is the situation with our man BT? Is he fit for Saturday? if not when does his contract run until? if he isn't fit for saturday and his contract runs out in early Jan, we will have him for all of 4 league games which seems a bit pointless in my eyes.

It is what it is.

A fit and firing Beattie for 4 games is better than an injured Beattie for 2.

He'll play when he's ready, I dont have a problem with that.

So, Beattie gets off work in a hour? I understand she won't be too happy if she finds a load of gangster shit in her house? That gives us just enough time, but only if you do exactly as I say you do gentlemen.

"We can get out of this division, but only if you do exactly as I say you do gentlemen".

Perhaps McCabe should employ Winston Wolf.

Having been out of action for as long as he has, it will take those 4 games and probably more, just to to get match fit.

He'll need several more to get firing on all cylinders in my humble opinion.

Will he get those at ours. or will that take place elsewhere?

I actually think if he proves himself up to Jan then he will sign for longer. Short term just so he can prove his fitness

He's not even been on the bench yet, so I can't see him starting this week. Maybe the last half hour, and a possible start at Bournemouth

I don't think we signed him with the intention of playing him right away, we had to sign him as the deadline for signings was looming.

If we didn't sign him before then, he'd definitely not play, we signed him in time in the hope he will play. Seems sensible enough. Probably explains the short contract too.

When the time is right, he'll play. Fingers crossed, he'll score a lot too.

Hes got food poisoning..................... wonder where this ones going.

So an injured calf and now food poisoning ,no point putting him on the bench he can only hop on one leg to the toilet.

He was a free agent so the deadline didn't apply

James Beattie will never play for us ever again.

Danny Wilson reads this forum and he signed him just to piss Olle off for a bit.

Why is it pointless?

If he doesnt prove he's fit or good enough he's out the door.

If he does prove himself. He gets a "proper contract". Its not really that difficult to see whats going on

Considering he has food poisoning this post does now make a modicum of sense!

A very small modicum - minimodicum?

:D

So we are paying him to find out if it will be worth paying him ?? Well played Beats !

No I don't Matt, but which way would be the more likely? Btw I'm as keen as everyone else to see him out on the park.

You need to have a word with Olle, he has all the details of BT's contract, he'll let you know exactly how much we've shelled out so far and it's a lot.

He'll also be able to tell you his future plans re: number of games played/number of goals scored.
