Bryan Robson insists the loss of top scorer James Beattie is a 'massive blow', but he is optimistic that other players can step up to the challenge of leading the line and firing the goals to propel the Blades up towards the play-off pack.

Beattie looks like facing a prolonged spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury in the Boxing Day draw with Blackpool at Bramall Lane, and Robson knows it's something the club could have done without:

"We haven't got the scans back yet but it looks a sore one, so he will probably be out for about four to six weeks.

"We could have done without this especially after losing 'Morgs' at Cardiff, and at this time of the season you need your best players out on the pitch.

"It is a massive blow because all season James has scored goals, although at least we have Rob coming back and we also have Jon and Billy up there, whilst Danny Webber is another couple of weeks away from a return."

whys he calling morgan a best player but dropped him early on?

we need another centre half in jan as lukettie isn't good enough and bromby isn't either.

never know, we might find another real good partnership upfront, for example Sharp and Webber, you get my drift.

As for the defence...well, we are just fucked lol

Because of one bad game, Lucky is starting to get grief from the stands. Yes he was poor on Saturday, but its the first time he has been poor for us. He can still do a very good job for us and we should have no hesitation putting him in the starting line up.

I have to very much agree with you.

I think Hulse and Sharp as Robbo doesn't seem to like Stead.

it will be hulse and sharp, would much prefer to have stead infront of sharp.

Hulse and Stead worked well in the premiership.

Stead and Sharp, still don't think Hulse is 100% match fit yet.

But hes never going to become fit enough if he doesnt play will he

Id go Hulse & Sharp with Stead in for Keef (-Mr.R is too drunk 2 notice the extra benefits Stead has so I gave up on his potential wing play a long time ago!)

Thats why you keep giving him more time as a sub, he played 46 mins on Wednesday and managed one or two chances and i hardly saw him in any build up play. It's alright saying you need to play them, but you can't have a player playing half a match and doing nothing because he's not fit enough "but needs the matches"

luckettie at fault for the goal today.

either luckettie is shit or killa is too good.

yeah, but a defender shouldnt let a opponent run away from him and not challenge him.
