I know it's where you are at the end of the season that counts, but we are off to such a good start.would anyone give up the start we've had to beat the pigs in October

Looking at the way we played yesterday coupled with how poor I've heard they have been - from my father-in-law, a season ticket pig - is there any reason why we can't be in the top two and tonk them in October as well? Both are eminently achievable.

There are 3 aims going into any season when we are in the same Division as the pigs - promotion, finish above them & get the better of the 2 derbies. I would never accept one over the other - I want all 3! UTB FTO

There are much better ways of obtaining the information you seem to require. A simple rephrasing of the question would do it.

- Are you a sentient being?

- Do you have the usual complement of brain cells?

- Are you capable of rational thought?

Any one of these should suffice. ;)

You won't find many blades gloating about the fact we hammered leeds at the lane last season. There is no shame in losing the battle and winning the war. The piggies could do the double over us and couldn't say a thing if we were promoted and they not. Promotion for me every time.

I want to see us go up this year, and that will involve us getting something in the region of 90 points. There are 6 points available from the Pigs, and ideally we will take all those.

At the end of the season, if we failed to take all 6 points from the Pigs and still got promotion i wouldn't be as disappointed as if we had done the double over the pigs with style and panache but failed to go up.

Having said that i love the derby game as much as the next man, go through the whole range of emotions, and on derby day i'll be nervous, anxious and it will be more important than a matter of life or death for me for one day, but the aim this year still has to be promotion for me.

For them this year, i think there is a greater importance in beating us, because they are a poor side this year, and taking points off their better rivals just salvage some pride for them
