and we're back in second spot with Leeds facing a Wigan side fighting for their lives 1 point above the relegation zone. Then Leeds travel to Brentford and then face an on fire Aston Villa at Elland Road. They've just narrowly beaten the Pigs. This isn't over. The fat lady has arrived. She's in the dressing room but she's yet to make her appearance on the pitch and start singing.
 



We said before today, beat Millwall and the pressure is on. We didn't and Leeds won fairly easily and deservedly attacking an awful Wednesday side at will. We made a terrible Millwall side look very good by panicking and not showing belief. Villa will be in the playoffs by the time that games comes and be resting players.

I admire the optimism but we have to start putting in performances like we are capable or it matters little what Leeds do.
 
Got to say, after watching the Leeds game on Sky I thought their supporters were outstanding, I know we didn't play well today but the Leeds support really does get behind the team, credit to them.
Still it's not over yet, they could still drop points we just have to get back to playing at our best, it's still possible

But that could change again. I'm not convinced by Leeds. They will drop points but agree it depends on how we react. We need a response against Forest. This team have shown before that they have the character to turn things around. Especially so when they are written off.

they didn’t sit back after going 1-0 up that is the difference. i’ve seen a thread on here blaming the fans for being nervous.. no wonder we were nervous it was bloody obvious what would happen

We were complaining long before we got deep.

Isn't up to the fans though, just keep pressing ffs.
 
we’d changed the formation a couple of times by half time and half the team looked lost.
after half time it looked like chris had sorted it and then bill gets injured and it all got a bit surreal .. we were trying to figure out the formation most of the second half . that’s why we went quiet.. sorry

That was the differennce today. Sure Wednesday had one chance but were not allowed back into the game as Leeds kept coming at them.

Wednesday missed some good openings really.

Hooper should have scored. There was an awful ball by Matteas or Forestieri, can't remember which, from the left which would have played someone in had it been on the floor. There was also a shot wide from Matteas that to me looked to have followed a handball but the commentators cheering Leeds on didn't make anything of it.

I just felt Leeds did things quicker. At times between phases of attacking play it's almost like watching a testimonial when we are tapping it around at the back.

Billy has been well off it, and that hasn't helped.

It looks grim for the play offs. There's usually a kick in the nuts with injury falling at the wrong time. MacDonald was out that time. Another time, we were reduced to having Craig Beattie up front.

This time it will be an injured Sharp and then if we play Villa, Hogan will not be able to play.

Can't make it up.

Of course when Leeds had lost to us, they got the international break for Jansson to recover. We get Easter and 2 games in quick succession.

If Carlsberg did Saturdays for a Leeds fan, Jesus, yesterday was it.
 
I think Leeds will drop at least 4 points in their remaining games. The only problem is I don't see Utd winning many of their remaining games. They're (inc. CW) looking nervous, tense and as though they're not enjoying it whereas Leeds look far more relaxed and comfortable in games.

I expected some changes to yesterday's starting eleven - especially as Sharp and Duffy had already played two games in a week. I wouldn't be too surprised if the enforced changes plus taking Duffy out generates a response v Forest although Stearman in for Egan does worry me.

We're not the only team who gets injuries, international breaks or suspensions, it's how you react to them. Leeds have lost Roofe and Brooks mini-me Jack Clarke, Villa have been without Grealish for a long period. Even Wednesday have been without Forestieri, Hooper, Fletcher etc. for a lot of the season - that's £100m-worth of talent alone.

Sharp and Hogan won't be much of a loss on current form. Unless we can find a striker who can get on the end of long, hopeful hoofs in his general direction. (i.e. the opposition half).

Yesterday was a must win. It makes no difference. I was hoping that we opened up against Millwall like the start of Gladiator.

It’s impressive support. They’ve had a rough run over the last 15 years with ownership stuff and almost as bad luck in the playoffs as us. Can’t bash em for their noise though.
 
After the last 2 games and how close it was at Preston, following a loss to Bristol city, does anyone actually believe we can win all 4 remaining games.....?
ITS not guna happen, I'd love to be wrong, and my bonfire to be pissed on by everyone in a Blades shirt, but it's looking more and more like we're going to bottle the chance we've been given.
 
Let's see what kind of team we can put out, could be at least 4 changes from yesterday's starting line-up. We do seem to have lost the spark and a bit of the swagger from a few months ago and need to get it back very quickly if only for the dreaded play-offs.

if we can be within 3 points for the final game then we’re still in it.. weird stuff happens on the final day .. i reckon Wigan will beat Leeds, just a feeling. we have to win all four games now, new mini season starts tuesday.. we can do it if we go back to basics and keep going at teams . we did an AC Milan on Leeds but that was an outlier a one off
