I've had this utterly cringeworthy video brought to my attention, done by Reading FC. Absolutely shocking. Hopefully something similar will happen to South Barnsley with their owners selling out to their home market.

We all have a moan at our owners and Board at times, but let's be thankful they 'get' our history and who we are, hopefully that will never change.

in fact after reading that the song was the idea of the wife of the team's Thai owner, I suspect that none of the pretty girls and boys involved in the vid even knew that reading was something you did with a book as I suspect its much cheaper to shoot it in S.E.Asia.

Slightly patronising and sexist. She's not the wife of the co-owner, she is the co-owner and a classically trained musician who wrote the song herself.

It's still fucking terrible though.

Isn't it a loose reworking of 'You are the wind beneath my Wings'? as for 'classically trained musician' I'd take the CVs of South East Asian billionaires with a pinch of salt, no doubt Kim Jong-Un thinks he's a dab hand on the old Joanna.....

Yes, she is actually wife of the former owner of the club the Madjesdik saviour of Sheffield Wednesday himself - I stand corrected.

A Telegraph article does suggest she attended the Guildhall School, I don't know if she graduated, apparently she was also at the Harvard Business School.

Its not a good song and its not going to be a best seller either - did she learn nothing from either institution?

It sounds as if she did not.

Although my ears are bleeding a little bit my impressions are thus:
I'd like to rattle the singer despite her crime against music
Lyrically that is possibly the worst song ever
The little rap bit three minutes in takes it to a new level of horrificness, I'm not going to listen back to check but I it was so bad it was funny
Is the ethnic mix of reading fans accurately portrayed there? Looked like the international student hall of residence had been given some kits and a free ticket each
I hope to god that is played at every reading game. Before. At half time. And at the end to make everyone leave promptly
