Was wondering about this the other day so I had a quick check and it makes interesting reading.

To summarise, since we've been in this god foresaken League;

Home form: W 53 D 30 L 22 Goals F 178 A 111 Pts 189
Away: W 41 D 31 L 33 Goals F 128 A 119 Pts 154

Every manager has used the old 'everyone's cup final when they come to the Lane' excuse but it makes you wonder if it has any truth and maybe whether our players haven't coped with it over the years.

Whichever way you look at it, only just over 50% of games won at home averaging only 1.69 goals a game in the 3rd tier doesn't read well. If you take out the 1st season under DW it's even more depressing.

think youll find winning 50 per cent of home games over 4 and a half seasons is better than par
Wednesday for example have only won 40 per cent, and only scored 143 goals
and Coventry have only won 44 per cent
Bristol city have only won 47 per cent in that period

took some looking up that did

It is overall but not for a team looking for promotion from said league. Squeezing an extra 20-25% increase in any given season and we're promoted, as 2 of the 3 you mention above managed.
