Not posted for a while but feel the need to get it off my chest. Just bought my youngest daughter a half season ticket for the kop as she has started to show some interest towards the blades (and the fact she has got a new wendy "boyfriend" so thought i needed to act quick. Anyway went to the scunny game and she decides she wants food. I tried to talk her out of such a stupid request when on the kop, especially when its raining. Anyway she won, so we stood for 20 mins in the pissing rain for a cold hot dog costing £3-20!!!!!! which she threw away. Today she is missing the game with a heavy cold (but deep down i dont think she enjoyed her matchday experience and doesnt want to go again) SUFC, SORT IT OUT NOW, ITS A DISGRACE. Rant over im off for the tram.

I sympathise. Should be a roof over that concourse.;)

We had the same experience in the upper tier of Bramall Lane left on Boxing Day. One of the biggest crowds of the season, and there's 1 catering stall open with 3 uninterested kids serving. This only served to create long queues and lost profit for the club. To be honest with you,it would have been quicker to walk down to the Petrol station, warm a few pies and burgers up in their microwave, and get a few coffees out of the Douwe Ecgberts machine and walk back, than stand in a line that didn't move for around 20 minutes.

I know its hard to get staff to work on boxing day,but surely, the first rule of catering for a large crowd is to ensure a fast turnover and enough people/kiosks to service the clientele. Has anyone done in higher level management at the Lane done any "mystery shopper" research on how we do things? I'm sure it would open a few eyes if they actually knew what the "match day experience" was like....

wouldnt buy feck all to eat at the lane full stop. overpriced crap anyway, if i take the kids i take pop, chocolate, crisps etc in with us and save a fortune:)

Hot dog for £1.50 on the corner of Shoreham St and John St. Absolute bargain!
