I think this is about the stuff around the edge of the pitch, rather than the pitch itself.

I think this season has been a bit unusual. Don't know if you've noticed. I expect it will be sorted in the close season.

That would be a bit of an overreaction after 50 years. But I do take pride in Bramall Lane and the plastic brown mat around a glorious pitch is something we can improve close season.

Funnily enough, since watching the matches without crowds, I've started noticing all the small local adverts that usually sit behind the main electronic ones and attached to the stand (or between the tiers on some grounds). I think it might have been the Villa game; "Bob Jackson Car Parts", "Betty Sandwich Shop" etc. etc. Normally your eyes are drawn to the crowds jumping up or waving and clapping. With the visual distraction, I'm also noticing things I wouldn't even see in normal circumstances.

I agree, to be honest its ruined this whole Premier League experience for me. Every game I’ve watched it getting darker and darker, its as though everyone’s preoccupied with the football, they’ve taken their eye of what’s important and I include Wilder in that, I mean he’s stood on it all afternoon?

In fact, i’m so incensed, I haven’t been to Bramall Lane since the Norwich game. Fuck ‘em
