We played very slowly as a side last season, he plays better in a quick attacking side, not saying you’re wrong and it could’ve had something to do with it or he is just fucked as you say.

As long as he isn’t shoe horned in right wing again, I would have him back if we could do it. Covers 2 positions we need (wide left and striker) and is a better bet up front than Cannon imo. Would give us the option to move Barry to the right as well.

He was always on the same side as Hamer (left) ,where he had no effect. My Blackburn grandad said he played a lot as a 10 but predominantly slight right. Last season as we sit in the south stand kicking towards Bramall lane he was always on our side. Unless I’m cross eyed.

Starting to think Wilder didn't know left from right. He played many players out of preferred positions last couple of seasons.

I think "piss poor" is harsh.

He started off pretty well and his form dipped along with the rest of the teams. .
He did look a little off physically, but hadn't had much football for 6 months and he was also played out of position much of the time.

If the price was right, and he fit well within budget, I wouldn't mind him. He clearly has goals and attacking contributions to make at this level and he covers a few forward areas.

Blackburn fans always underplayed his time with them. He scored goals for them, which a lot was from cutting in from the left hand side (Which still baffles me why we put him on the right) but then said his overall play wasn't brilliant.

I think he might have lost that little touch of pace he had 3-4 years ago when he could cut in and shoot, or people figured out his game.
