We can afford this and to make him top earner if we want. There will be enough coming in from transfers and players off the book. It will be a question of if he gets a better offer. But we can certainly give him as a good a deal as he has in Spain. Put a bid in early, let him know he is wanted and just wait and see. We are probably looking at loan market for a striker anyway, otherwise. So I don't think we lose anything if there is a bit of a wait with this one and he would be someone who we would want, takeover or no takeover. I don't see us being able to sign anyone else with a better track record.
