Hector's House, years ahead of it's time. A morality tale about multi-culturalism.

And you all thought it was about a Dog called Hector living with a cat called Zsazsa, with a frog called Kiki as a next door neighbour!

I got in a lot of trouble at work over Hector's House and Ivor the Engine. One day I might even be able to tell the tale.

We had a few like that on t'Valley, didn't we Graps? :)

Mind, I didn't much like feytin'. Remember when Rowlinson came up and you lot were up at Granville for the day. Shit mesen. Rodge Lyons sorted a couple of 'em out.

pommpey
Rodge Lyons, that would mean you went to school with my Uncles :D 🤫

Have confidence, you can surely turn this thread into that now that you’ve revived it

Zoe Ball - £1million a year??? Not on my watch

I was just going to say that too, she loses 1 million listeners and gets a 1 million quid pay rise.

Good work if you can get it.

Made me chuckle

It was a weird day when I went to see us play there.

Especially having been served my lunch in Sid Little's pub.

By Sid Little himself!

It was called the Strawberry Gardens and he's since moved on to The Steamer.
I had fish and chips and it was excellent

There's a thread in there, "served by celebrities"

I suppose Billy Tightshirt would feature for his time in the Cricketers.
Many of the older generation of players went into the pub and..or restaurant trade didn't they?

I've stayed overnight at Gage's hotel in Dronny but he wasn't there that day

Does anyone else remember that time when Alan Titchmarsh ran West Ham?
