If you had the chance to replace KM as chairman, what would your policys be regarding player recruitment, the manager & the stadia & team.

Who would you sign for instance? And be realistic? :D

You critise KM alot, so i would like to hear how you would go about things?

Would you be a wobblegob? :D

He has just finished a stint hasn't he. Doesn't half sound like fat Strafford at times

How about nowt but you have the anticipated income of season tickets, a guess at outgoings such as wages etc and then you have to decide which assets need moving on to fund incoming players.

It isn't rocket science!!!

;)

I'll offer you 80p, a tube of smarties and a poster of Michael Tonge for Jordan Stewart.

What are you going to do about Sir Clevor Trevor BB? Replace him with someone called Tim?

You answered the questions yet BB? I'm seriously interested in your vision

Ok well as you can't be arsed to go back through the thread... I'm summarising some of the questions from above for you (i'm good like that, thank me later)

YOu say that first stop would be to stop wasting money, how would you do that

What would your policys be regarding player recruitment, the manager, the type of football, the stadia & team.

Who would you sign for instance? And be realistic?

What are you going to do about Sir Clevor Trevor BB

You're the chairman, it's your chequebook we're using, how much would you put into the club? It doesn't have to be xx millions, perhaps a percentage of your own wealth (however much or little that is)

How would you work on a budget to appease the fans and perhaps get them to back a penniless promotion push?

How would you get more fans to back you so that you're not known as Mr McWobblegob II

How would you plan for a summer transfer window knowing that you could possibly lose players because of PL vultures, Expired contracts, buy out clauses?

How would you decide which assets need moving on to fund incoming players.

Finally, most importantly ....Under your stewardship.... Who owns the freehold to BDTBL? ;)

Replace the incompetent two hats that have been signing players, give P45's to the dross at BDTBL.

I would buy yung uns who would give 110% mixed with a couple of older father figures, the manager would be a motivator type..he'd have to be :D, type of football ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK, Stadium back to 3 sided ground with standing on the kop. :D
The team ... when the opposition had played the Blades they would know they had been in a game !

Who would you sign for instance? And be realistic?

I'd be trawling the leagues for young misfits... one thing for sure the present scouting team would be replaced....our gert could do better.

What are you going to do about Sir Clevor Trevor BB

Not made me mind up yet ...gut instict is he's a good man.

:D Most of my money is tied up in property commercial and residential........and i'm not kidding ...... one thing for sure not much if any money spent would be wasted.
Even in todays market you can still buy right
.

How would you work on a budget to appease the fans and perhaps get them to back a penniless promotion push?

I'd tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Make Sir Clevor Trevor work overtime. :D Forward planning is what its all about..... always have a plan B and C..D..E...F...G....

How would you decide which assets need moving on to fund incoming players.

With players the manager would tell me.

Finally, most importantly ....Under your stewardship.... Who owns the freehold to BDTBL? ;)

The Blades would...i'd put in a Life rent trust with the club as sole beneficieries.

Thanks BB, I think this is the first time I've finally got some straight answers out of you...

It all seems reasonable, but what makes you think that United aren't trying to do what you want us to do? I'm speculating, but what if United are trawling the lower leagues or even Europe to get the best young misfits and getting our targets - players like Kyle Reid, Andy Taylor etc. Or how about the scouting system is working, but for whatever reason players aren't coming.

Is Clever Trevor the pivotal man for your rebuilding programme? At the end of the day he's a financial man, yes he's played football and been involved in football for years, but most of this is on the financial side. His priority is Saving money, financial control. Or so it seems from my point of view.

On the flipside, the manager wants the best players, he doesn't care about the budgets (in reality) he wants the best players to keep his job and to get success.

You're a property man and a fan, to my knowledge you're new to this whole FC Chairmanship so who's word do you go with? The man that could keep the creditors from the door, but hold you back on the pitch or the manager that could bankrupt the club?

Hey up Swiss.......

The BIG problem we have at present is how other people in football see us........a nowt club....that needs urgent attention... then we might attract the reight players to join us. With finances its no use kidding anybody, tell it as it is or yer kidding yersen...oh i'd listen to advice but the final choice would be mine if it were my money.

Agreed... mostly. :)

We're a walkover nowadays, but then again in the time since we've been relegated we've had a lot more saleable assets than we'd had in the previous 4-5 years before promotion. So we're almost victims of our own (Brief) success. I think we could really do a lot to set our stall out with contracts. And also set our stall out with Agents and players. But I fear we're desperate to get players, we don't have the Parachute cash and we've forgotten how to drive a deal- whether it be a player sale to Spurs a contract negotiation with a drugged up keeper or getting a contract put down and sorted with a player thats heading into his last 6 months of his deal. We need to close ranks.

With finances I don't think its so simple. Snippets of info can lose or boost confidence and i'd imagine that from a commercial aspect we'd be clever to not always give the full picture...or spin it to our advantage...

The last question I put to you Birch v Blackie was a loaded one. Don't you think that we'd be wise to get a proper football man in on the board? I keep mentioning this as I think its quite a key part of the football side, but we've never replaced Dooley. We need someone to back the manager. Someone to back the football side...Would you go along with this?

DD will never get replaced he was a one off ......... the manager and chairman need to respect each other then the need for a football man on the board is minimised.
One thing is certain change is needed because for too long the Blades have done nowt.

But the problem as far as I see it is that (my disliking of Blackie aside) either

Birch/ McCabe don't respect Blackie
They respect him but he's just crap
Or, The money side has just overridden any football targets we have...

I don't know which is the right one or whether its a combo of any of the three, but whatever it is needs sorting and the club need to set a real target and do what we can to achieve it.
