What a ball that was to Mcgoldrick for the winning goal. Absolute class. Love this bloke. If you could design a footballer in the style of Sheffield United it would be him. The modern day Bob Booker.

Couldn't agree more. Underrated. No question of his love for the club.

Longest serving player now?

Bash has his limitations but gives 100% but sorry if your designing a footballer in the style of the Blades right now it would Brian Deane.

Love is passion, love his work rate. But, we need better. He’s a poor poor footballer.

Anyone disagrees ask yourself this....we have aspirations of challenging this season, if bash was put on the list who would be after him in this division? Rotherham, Reading, QPR. It wouldn’t be any top teams in this division.

Fixed it for you.

As far as I'm concerned Bash is as integral to the team now as Booker was then.

Copycat ;)

He has his limitations defensively and was probably at fault for their goal. So him making the winner was payback.

I've always maintained that I love his commitment to the cause and he is a championship standard player. What he isn't though imo, is a top of the championship standard player. I fear that he will have to be replaced at some stage if we really want to progress and challenge at the top but that's for another day. Well done to the lad for today though. He didn't let his head drop and he kept on going - getting his reward when Billy did the business.

He was a lot less at fault than sleepy head jack

There’s times when he fucking throws himself in front of his man to nick the ball, it’s sheer will power, grit and determination. He also makes a lot of last ditch tackles. More importantly he recycles the ball a lot and can shift the momentum of the game with a lung busting run. He sets the tone for other players.

He’s come on massively under Wilder and really is an accomplished Championship player. More importantly he could, could become a Blades Legend. He just needs that iconic goal/moment against Wednesday / Leeds / Playoff match / Cup game.

No top teams in the division tried to get Norwood either

Shows how spoilt we've been in the last couple of years if anyone's calling him a "poor, poor footballer".

Against Preston at the back end of last season Basham was our only good player (possibly due to his Blackpool past). If he looks poor, it's only because everyone else has raised their game. His standards haven't dropped.

Almost, but he did go to Leeds!!

Erm... The cross was Norwood, not bash, I love bash as much as the next blade, but his crossing was rubbish when he got moved to right back.

Stalwart who just needs Usain Bolts legs to be the complete blade
