image.jpeg Took time out yesterday to visit this little guy...
Unfortunately young Kasabian(aged 8) has terminal cancer but I'm sure the visit of two of his heroes made his day..
Kinda puts things into perspective, doesn't it..
Thanks guys..be strong young Kas
and all your lovely family x

Beautiful. It's a tragic situation that must be close to Billy's own heart especially. Giving a sick and dying child the highlight of his life must be the most rewarding thing in the world.

Cannot think of the words, I think of my grandkids, both younger and,as others have said truly heartbreaking, how the parents and close family manage to cope I have no idea, your heart goes out to them, I wish them all the very best of luck.

I've seen the pictures on Facebook this morning, and to be honest I've found them incredibly moving and I'm not ashamed to admit they brought a tear to my eye.

Brownie Jnr is a similar age, and to think of what that poor kid is going through absolutely breaks my heart.

Young Kasabian.....
Young man.....
Young blade.....
Too young.
The tears I now weep are for you Kasabian. It's times like this I realise how forunate, I and my family, are. Thank you for being a blade and my heartfelt wishes go out to you and your family. Be strong, young man.

It really does bring tears to the eyes praying for young Kas and his family x

Fair play to Sharp and Basham - both parents I believe.

I can hardly bring myself to contemplate what's happening to the little lad and his family. Doing this sort of thing is entirely voluntary for a footballer.

Poor little mite.

Billy is a bit naughty sometimes on the pitch but he & Bash are obviously good guys. Together with Rochdale's tributes to their own little supporter who is suffering like Kas, this week has been enough to make a cynic begin to like football and footballers again.

I remember someone asking Warnock why he made the players do so much community work (he used to do a rotation of players visiting Sheffield children's hospital and such) and he said something on the lines of a lot of these players won't be remembered or recognised a few years after football has finished and they ought to appreciate what it means to people while they have a chance.

Much as I want to hate the arrogant git, I have a soft spot for Ronaldo for all the good work he's done for young and struggling fans.

So, so sad, and should remind anyone who thinks it's 'smart' to indulge in aggressive posturing to remember that it's life that's important.

Take a moment to reflect on those things that sometimes get lost, where feelings and optimism must play their part as we take on responsibility. Remind ourselves that an essential part of becoming adults and parents is to give guidance to the young, and when a youngster faces the most dreaded moment, that we, as adults, do everything in our powers to make them feel safe.
