Robinson is a top class signing and looks value for money, and Didsy confirmed yet again what a class act he is. Impressive start from Ben Osborn too, and a more convincing performance from Freeman. Another surprising performance from Lunny, and he's starting to win me over. Apart from that dodgy spell I thought Ollie played well overall. We made Barnsley look much less than I suspect they are, and I think they'll be OK in the Champ. Hendo had nowt to do really.
The cameo from Morrison looked promising. If he clicks and stays focussed then I might consider breaking the habit of a lifetime and visiting one of those Betting shops you see all over the bleedin' place these days. What's the odds against a top 12 finish?
Was that a little dig at Talksport towards the end?Post-match Wilder interview...
Likely to bring in a central midfielder still.
Wilder: “perhaps I could have brought them all in earlier, but we’d have spent £20-30m more in doing so.”

I think people would be foolish to write Luton, Barnsley and Charlton off this season.
Charlton looked very good in the playoff games, Luton were a standout and hardly batted an eyelid after losing their manager, and Barnsley were always there, have backing and looked decent today.
Think the three teams that go down from the Championship will be teams that were there last season.
He's on premiership wages now, he can afford plenty of pies and Mars bars!CW seems to be piling weight on. Or was he just wearing extra padding?
Jesus which match were you watching? How on earth did we beat a championship side 4-1 on their own turf with a shit midfield?Nah this game has been a stinker from start to finish for Oli, lets be honest. Whole midfield is looking pretty woeful this match.... just saying

I really don't get the haste to get him out of the side from some.As I have always said, Baldock is a very good player. Far better than Freeman.

People say holgate, who would cost 10m.plus. is he really any better?
Baldock needs to work on just that one pass at the end of a move, everything else is great. He's a quality defender, fast, strong, tenacious, fit. Gets in good positions and works well with our other players.
Pass selection is surely a small thing to work on, he's been getting better every season anyway, he's one of the players I have no concerns over regards stepping up.

That's just too many Peroni's over the summerCW seems to be piling weight on. Or was he just wearing extra padding?
I thought Osborn and Robinson were very good.
Not that others weren’t, but they did ever so well and I think they look like shrewd acquisitions.
What’s up with Jack ? Did he play at all ?
ThisDidn't you buy it last season?

I think we should adopt it and always have it in our kit bag whether it be as a second or third kit.Love that kit, especially in full lumo, shorts an all. We seemed to play much better in yellow shorts - think we only lost once when wearing them at Derby. Glad we are keeping the kit on this season.

At the beginning of pre-season I was of the same thinking pal, but from why I’ve seen of him (I saw the Betis and Barnsley games) I think I can see wilders thinking and I have to say, I think Lunny has done really well. Particularly off the ball as someone else mentioned, but also his work on the ball has been good for me (assists yesterday).Might upset one or two on here but I’m seriously concerned that Lundstram seems to even be near the starting 11. Don’t shoot me down all you lovers but we really do need better next season. If I’m wrong I’ll hold my hands up and pat the lad on the back

Norwood on the other hand, for me, could be the next player that we outgrow. That might be a very unpopular opinion but I think in the prem games will pass him by and he won’t bring as much to the party.
We will see I suppose.
As others have said its a friendly and getting up to speed is the key. Players looked sharper than Chesterfield. Barnsley were tidy in patches but we swamped them in the middle. Strange midfield formation to start Lundstram seemed to be further forward than the other two at times. Looks like the tactic for Bournemouth will be to start with these three and then bring Freeman on after an hour as we did to-day. Offensively we may be found wanting with this formation against premiership opposition.
Barnsley started the second half well after we dominated possession for most of the first half and scored a good breakaway goal. Unfortunately its the type of goal I can see us conceding often this coming season unless we find a player who can break opposition attacks up in the middle. In the current squad the only one anywhere near this seems to be Lundstram but he's not playing this position and was just getting back to his feet up front when Barnsley broke away and scored.
In the past when we have dominated games and then conceded out of the blue it has taken time to get back into the game but we now have a player who can score a goal out of nothing in Robinson and thats what he did immediately for the second.
The introduction of Freeman brought balance to the side and Fleck who'd had a good game suddenly had a midfield runner in front of him at No. 10. The third goal was quality and we looked much more of a threat with Freeman in front of Norwood and Fleck capped off by Freemans adding the fourth. Some nice touches from Ravel and an excellent debut by Osborn.
Early days but the formation that finished the game you would expect to be the one that starts against Palace. It will be a big step up from the likes of Chezzy and Barnsley but encouraging that the new players were the scorers to-day.
What were your thoughts on Lundstram?
