£36 robbing twats

We have been allocated 4,224 tickets, priced £36 Adults, £24 Seniors 65+ and Under 22, £10 Under 17, and £5 Under 12
* Under 12 must be registered on our system and MUST have sufficient points.

Their own fans only get charged £28 so is this allowed? Even if it is allowed it’s day light robbery to go to that shithole.

£36 they are taking the piss. For me i think £25 is fine & id pay £30 at the most in the league. Whats even more of a laugh as the last time i went to oakwell under adkins in league 1, the stadium looked so old, i thought turnstiles were a TARDIS. Id got back to 1980s Deane & Agana were starting upfront

Just checked my English/Spanish dictionary and was surprised to see that Barnsley does not translate as Barcelona?? Who the f*ck do they think they are? Remember when they got promo to the top flight, Dicky Bird came crawling out of the woodwork along with other 'proffesional' Yorkshireman, Parky - and all their fans singing "It's just like watching Brazil" without even the slightest hint of irony!
Retard fukwits the lot of 'em.

It’s a league rule
Away fans MUST be charged the same as the away fans in like for like facilities.
Away clubs can go to the league to have the prices adjusted accordingly.

I’ve just checked the Barnsley site and as expected they are also charging their own fans £36 for this Cat A* match
And it even goes up to £38 if tickets are bought in the day.

Home clubs do kind of get round the high prices to home fans rule though by offering membership schemes with generous matchday admission discounts. Of course away fans aren’t members so don’t quality for the same discount.

Don’t really understand the allocation. Why not all the away end tickets? It’s not as if they will also house home fans in there.
Perhaps they have decided that if they squeeze supply they can shaft with prices.

It’s a SY Police thing. They have this fetish for netting.
Bramall Lane, The Sty, Oakwell all have large sections netted off for extra segregation.

For as long as people are willing to pay these prices, clubs will continue to charge them.

If it is true that these are daft prices for the fare on offer, then logically it stands to reason that football clubs would only be daft not to charge them if fans weren't daft enough to buy them.

Sorry if this sounds harsh but presumably we all recall the brave stand that was made against the Man Utd 3rd round prices a couple of years ago, where the "boycott" resulted in all tickets being sold really quickly and probably resulted in a footnote at the end of the next Man Utd meeting suggesting they can probably afford to go 10% higher next time.

I don't know exactly where the line in the sand is, but I am fairly certain that £36 to watch Barnsley is on the wrong side of it. If you don't like it, withhold your custom, or you can have no grounds at all for complaint.

The Bolton away boycott 1st game of last season worked well too......

£36 is far too much for a Champ fixture no doubt, but they charge it because they know they will sell them. At least those with a lower loyalty point count should be able to get a ticket for this.

I work with a Barnsley fan and he says he paid £36 to come to BDTBL earlier in the season

They didn’t do that when I last went 3 years ago. We had 6k. So why now?

SAG which includes SYP have been at work at Barnsleys ground as well reducing capacity. Pigs got same away allocation as us this season. SYP can't deal with any more than 4,600 away fans in South Yorkshire which is the maximum away capacity the pigs now have.

Cat A* price for Barnsley fans is £36. So, yes, it is allowed. And yes it is daylight robbery.
Cheers KB, i was taking it off the pricing for the Bristol City home game against them which must be a cat D or something with the price difference?

Nobody's forcing anyone to go.

No disrespect mate but they know they can push the boundaries with football fan loyalty.

I know I'll probably end up paying it even though I think it stinks.

It won't be until there's notable stay aways and protests that anything will change, and that will unlikely happen because there will always be a few hundred who will pay stupid money to prove how bigger fans they are.

As for this game, they need to charge extra to make up the loss of revenue from the fucking ridiculous segregation and reduced allocation.
