Did anyone on here promise to bare their bum on the Town Hall steps if we got promoted.

No.
But an occasional poster on here did once say, and stupidly sign a piece of paper, to the effect if he ever got married again he would bare his bollox there.
Anyway, the following year, the night before his impending marriage bollox were duly on display on those very steps. Photographs were taken. (Hopefully lost in the mist of time)
Two seconds after the said bollox were covered again, two burly policemen walked around the corner!!!
If only they had been a little earlier and locked up the exhibitionist causing him to miss the wedding.
The fine and embarrassment would have been well worth it, emotionally and financially.
