More questions than answers tonight. The balance of the team was wrong. One man up front? In a play off semi final? At home?

Teams play one man up front when they are down to ten men. Or if they have a midfield packed with strong, quality players. None of our midfielders were capable of finding that killer pass to the front man. Baxter was ill.

At least it's over two legs and we still have a hope. No chance of us playing for a nil nil now so we need to be attack minded. We have players capable of scoring goals but maybe need an extra spark from Matty Done from the start. And not on the left wing.

Think it will be shoes off in the carpark if Cloughy fecks up. He really needs to do his homework. Matty Done should def start after thursday nights performance and what's the story with JC Ryce? I'd start him straight away if available? We were on the end of some unreal decisions by the ref thursday night but Cloughy needs to get em playing like he did at the in form Barnsley a month or so ago. Fingers crossed.

No team plays 1 man up front at home, especially in the 1st leg of a semi final play-off,surely!
Too negative by far all season.

Square pegs Russ. Cost us all season. Unsettled preseason feel to the whole season.

Good point Knock . Clough was on a win win situation last season after Weir . We should have seen the season panning out as it has done , after the disjointed preseason . We are in the play offs for one reason only , League 1 has been a much of a muchness this season , were everyone can beat each other . Thats why were we are as the leagues 5th best team.

We have got out of second gear in a handful of games , and the players are still getting to grips with each other , with the formation and All being square or round pegs . Commandant Clough has a lot to learn , and we ain't got time to go through a 3/5 year learning curve plan. I am pro Clough but more pro SUFC.

DeCanio could have done better , and there would not have been a dull moment, but would have been as frustrated,

Like others have said it sums up the whole season.

I would not be surprised to Clough after the play-offs.

It's the back door that's been the problem all season, particularly both centre halves (we haven't got any proper ones), and in turn have let in far too many soft goals throughout.

Still maintain Clough's tactics have been no different to the successful second half of last season. The key difference being with Maguire and Collins as cbs we could bottle teams up and pick off the opposition on the break. This season Clough has employed the same tactics but with a soft centre it simply hasn't worked.

It's a joke that Clough thought he could get away with playing right backs, left backs, and midfield players at centre half all season for what is the key area of any football team.

I think what annoys me the most with our play, is that when we actually put pressure on and go for it.. I'm yet to see a team actually handle us. I'm not saying we should go all out, for ever minute of each game - But it needs to be happening much more often.
