It can only be a positive that we're all talking about different variations of selections available at the back now. If anyone dips in form there's adequate replacements; it keeps everyone on their toes.

I think I'd bring Stearman in for Wright. Basham and O Connell were immense during the run in. Whilst Wright was also very good, I wonder if he has the athleticism to make the step up as a first team regular. I'm convinced that Bash and JOC do.

Basham and O'Connell lack pace at Championship level. Playing them both will leave us looking pretty cumbersome at the back, especially if we have Fleck and Coutts in central midfield. We'd get pulverised on the counter attack.

We wont see much of Jake Wright. I'm afraid some are wanting, quite rightly, two new centre-backs but don't want a sentimental favourite to drop out. Wilder is loyal but not sentimental. We're moving on.

Of last season's back 3 Jack the Hat is the safest, especially when CB2 arrives.

I agree although Jake Wright is still an excellent player to have around as cover/ competition for those cited as regular starters. If there's any dip in form, injury or suspension, Mr reliable will not let us down I'm sure.

I agree. I've nothing put praise for him. That doesn't mean he gets a place, though...

I feel Jake Wright will play a role in our next season. He wasn't brought in last season as an automatic first choice but fought for and claimed the shirt. It will be interesting to see how the season pans out.
