Well,from previous seasons the comments were in quite a few circumstances that we had had a fantastic transfer window,relegation and mediocrity followed. We are paying huge wages at present and at the same time buying more physiotherapy beds than what the NHS have in stock.

Play the post not the poster. Given Wilder has said a number of times hes very happy with the backing and support from the board and that he'd presented the 4 players he wanted to them before the window opened it has been a terrible window so far.

It doesn't mean its anyone's fault as some of those targets may have chosen to go elsewhere or their clubs may not release them but it doesn't change the fact that we have only brought in one back up player....so far

We've only wanked away money on one loan signing. Given the season has been dead for months, that is an absolutely superb result. The fax machine could explode right now and as long as we don't miss out on buying in any young players with big upside (which, with Wilder at the helm, isn't happening), I'd be fucking ecstatic with this window.

We're probably not making the playoffs and probably not going down, so apart from cover for Macallum, not sure we need to be making signings for the sake of it, especially not at the inflated prices you have to pay in January. Sure, if there's a club desperate for the money and you can get a bargain then we can strengthen to prepare for next season, but I can't see the point in spending money just for the sake of it when we're just about to lose parachute payments and need to tighten our belt/be more sensible with what we've got
