Yes, it is pretty much now you come to mention it!

It'll be a bugger to keep clean if that one's owt to go by!

Just thinking about colour clashes and stuff. Does anybody think we'll be playing in our ltd edition shirt vs Middlesbrough?

The shirt is white....
Boro's is red.

I know the trims are the other way round, but the amount on trim is that minimal it won't make a difference.

If you look at the proper shirts - rather than the image of what they should look like then the difference is quite great.

I agree, but somebody said we'd clash with Scunthorpe?? Hows that possible?

I think we'll be made to wear black shorts and maybe socks though.

All goes back to my point about the blatant commercialism of the whole kit culture.

It's shit easy, nursery stuff to come up with something for the Blades that isn't red, white or black as an alternative/away kit. Nobody should need a 3rd kit, but the manufacturers (with the whole-hearted agreement of the clubs) continue to deliberately create colour clashes that need the 3rd (and now even 4th ) alternatives.

The rules are simple for any away kit:

1. Avoid any of the colours in your home kit

2. If your home kit is stripes/hoops then make the away one plain.

3. If your predominant home colour is on the dark side, the away has to be from the lighter colour spectrum.

4. If home shorts are dark, make the away light and vice versa

5. Apply point 4 to socks.

Job done, no fuss, no exploitation, no ripping-off and never, ever no need for a 3rd kit!

Yes but then how would all the clubs make money and all the parents be skint having to buy 3 kits + 2 keeper tops every season!

I agree!

It's stupid.

Blackburn do well - their away kit is the exact opposite of their home kit, featuring red and black quadrants. That said, I think if we went out in black and blue stripes, whoever designed it would get lynched. Blue should never, ever feature on our kit (although I appreciate it has done in the past).

Me too. Mine's rather "spray-on-tight". However the green third kit which I think kicked the whole third kit saga off, although purchased at a similar sort of time, completely buries me.
