I remember the uproar when we brought this kit out. Looking back, it's one of the best ever away shirts.

A bit of green and purple trim but still essentially a blue shirt!

It was moaned about so much that it was demoted to 3rd shirt for the following season with the Turquoise shirt coming in as the away using the same shorts/socks.

Great shirt, which I especially remember because it was the first I got with a name & number (12 Flo).

Didn't like the badge in that era though...

Just a guess but linking the delay in the delivery of the so called "historic kit" - this season's home strip - and the abortion of the flying vicar black kit which was rapidly replaced by the yellow last season - could it be that this season's "home kit" was going to be last season's away kit but adidas cocked up and decided to hold it back for this season? Just a thought.

I heard it was meant to be last seasons "home" kit but it wasn't designed in time for last season.

I actually prefer the vicar kit to the yellow third! And yes, I liked the blue sash and purple/yellow halves kits when they came out.

Not sure but demand was too much for last seasons home kit.

This kind of backs up what the Brentford fan was saying last season. Sumat like in the first season you get limited stock to prove yourself etc..
