for those waiting for the black kits to come out... I've just been to fetch my season ticket back and got my black shirt! they came in this mornin.

Oh aye... more bloody expense :)

Down to the Lane again it is!

Seeing as we only keep away kits for 1 season I won't be bothering, too much expense...rather use the money for petrol towards the next game.

I prefer the away kit to the Home. Doesnt look as cheap n nasty IMO.

Time to ditch Le COCK Sportif i think!

we wanted QUALITY not QUANTITY of the shirts.

I swapped my home shirt for the away shirt last night cos the red on the home shirt had run onto other items of clothing that i was wearing and the home shirt hadn't even been washed yet so who knows what state my shirt and clothes would have been like had i washed it.
also sounds like a alot of the home shirt have been taken back cos they didn't want to see my receipt or ask any questions :)

I wonder if we'll end up with pink shirts, like we seem to every season...

Yeah they are already pink to start with and thats before they have been washed, they said i could have another home shirt but when i looked at them they were all the same slightly pink so i decided to exchange it for the away one. This will be the first season i haven't had a home shirt :cry2:
Last season's shirt has gone pink :D

I'd have thought that suited you fine MG!! :D:D

Has everyones shirts been going pink? Mine have always remained red and white....

Perhaps its cause I don't wash my clothes.

30 degrees and inside out... mine tend to survive :)

Am I the only one who thinks the away kit borders on the stupid? Or is it just a genius marketing ploy?

Might be skewed thinking, but I was always under the impression that a different kit for away fixtures was to avoid a clash of colours! Logically then, you would have something that was a different colour scheme to your traditional home kit, defeats the object otherwise. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand last years away kit of pale green (or lime if you will) has been retained as the 3rd kit?

So, we have a home kit with black shorts and black socks. An away(2nd) kit with black shorts and black socks and a 3rd kit with errr, black shorts and black socks.

Another triumph for the weird, wacky and wonderful world that is the designer. Style over substance, or consumerism gone the full loop??

Or lime shorts and socks... plus they usually make a pair of white shorts and socks available for the players but not to buy in the shop.

It still means design has been the primary and probably only consideration. Given the spectrum of colour and colour schemes available, it wouldn't take an MA in fashion to find something that didn't have the colours red, white and black!

The main problem that I can see is that Jackie Fishface or whatever her bloody name is has been partly responsible for picking the design of the kits. Given the fact that the woman couldn't find blood during rag week or her arse with both hands and a good map it's a wonder we've had any kit at all, regardless of the colour.

Didn't a fan design this year's home shirt?

Will the guilty party please make themselves known :D

Didn't a fan design this year's home shirt?

Apparently the design was based on a fan's idea if we had kit made by adidas. For past kits, given how much they have looked like other clubs' kits I reckon Le Coq have just offered a few patterns and said "Pick une, monsieur."

Last season's Blades and Stoke kits were very similar, Stoke's just lacked the black bits. Wolves' old home shirt was just a different shade to our old orange away kit, and I'm sure there are more comparisons if I could be arsed to look.

After all, who decided that black and white stripes was a good away kit?

Didn't St Neil say that he designed/chose that? I'm sure he says summat about it on a DVD somewhere .....

Yeah, no coincidence that it resembled Notts County either :)
