Fairly obvious what the points tally will be, but how many shots on target do my fellow Blades think we'll have in the 3 games?

I'll set the ball rolling by saying we'll have a total of 6 shots on target in the 3 away games at Derby, Forest and Leeds.

Does anyone think we'll win an away game this term?

Only a bit of fun to lighten the mood in this international break. Results will be as per BBC website.

Worksop doing his first away Game this Saturday, didn`t see an away win last season, so 1 - 1 for me, time for loads of Beer after the Game, sore head Sunday.

Draw at Derby (on the telly so we will be predicatable and boring) 0-0 cos we are two poor teams in poor form.
We will have an endless series of passes across the back line as we attempt to keep possession of the football then not know what to do with it afterwards and fritter it away. There will be one shot on goal from Wardy, after a mazy run, that will go well over the bar. One tame header from Cresswell that will not trouble the keeper - and that's yer lot.

Forest - we will lose without much of a fight. (Why is it always mid week when we play them away?)

Weeds - ditto and me waters are tellin' me we will get a reight spanking at Bellend Road

It will be interesting to see what sort of followings we have at the next 5 away games. All fairly local but away performances haven't been great and it's not far off £150 just in tickets for the set.

Will we sell out at Leeds for example?

I'll go for 5 shots on target resulting in 3 points in September.

Nope, BBC have F1 on at that time, Sky have Everton Vs Rooney, and ESPN have Hamilton Accies Vs Rangers.

So why the feck is Derby vs Blades kicking off at 13:00 when it appears that most of the NPC is doing it at 15:00?

Must be policing or summat. Hadn't realised that Blades / Derby games were such a recipe for trouble.

It's often the case that our away games with Derby & Forest are very rarely 3pm on a Saturday.

I think we'll muster 4 points, a draw at Derby, a win at Forest and a defeat at Leeds.

I'll go for 11 shots, 4 v Forest, 4 v derby, 3 v leeds
2 Points (Forest and Derby)

Forest are playing Millwall at home the same day, dont think they want all 4 sets of fans clashing with each other!

Aye, it's the Derby Lunatic Fringe and the BBC clashing that the pigs are worried about. Dunno whether there is a rivarly, but perhaps the miners strike increases tension.

That's 4 sets of fans with quite big hooligan elements. Plus we hate Forrest, everyone hates Milwall, Milwall hate everyone and la de da.

What should we expect from these games? I just expect us to get out there, try and play a bit of footy, put a shift in and try to win the game. Forrest are a decent side, but Derby and Leeds are nothing special. I think that we might muster a couple of points (maybe a couple of draws) but we could be looking at 1 or 0 points.

We'll certainly win away from home at some point. I think it is more about Speed going for it. Evans and Cresswell desperately need support and we need more creativity. I think away from home we should play 4-4-2 including Quinn, Yeates and Ward in midfield. So what if we lose? I'd sooner lose trying to win than grind out a 0-0 or get pipped 1-0 when we are playing 4-5-1.

careful.. three years credibility lost in a sentence:eek:

what would you play then superpig?

Monty, Ertl and Britton are similar types of player (but with varying degrees of quality). I don't think that any of them should play together. The only other option is Quinn. I have (big) issues with him, but he is an attacking, creative midfielder. He deserves a chance under the new gaffer. Plus he just signed a contract, so why have players on the books who we won't play. If I was GS I'd say 'get out there and show me what you can do'. Could it be the case that KB was getting the worst out of Quinny? He certainly played wll under NW. I'd stick him in.

I did the bbc predictor until xmas yesterday so obviously included these 3 games, i went for 2-1 defeat at Derby, 2-0 Defeat at Leeds and 1-1 at Forest. So definitely 2 shots. I'll go for 8 in total on target around 12 off target.
