Away fans?

Are away fans still held in the ground after the game at Millwall? I thought that was the case. Which if it is, seems to suggest the police can decide on safety grounds to use this tactic.

They actually let you out of the stand into an area behind it and then stop you going further.

Last season they let us straight out and it was fine, mingled with the wall no problems. Season before they penned us in at that first gate then at the second one near the station and it caused all sorts of bollocks.

On the subject, I haven't seen a significant police presence at the lane for years.

Millwall last season.
Spurs in 2015
Charlton & Forrest 2014.

All way over the top both inside and outside, including the silly tin wall.

Didn't realise last season. Went straight to the coaches to the right.

Should be turned away at the turnstiles.

But we're talking about leaving the ground at FT. The booze they've had during the game could well tip them over into violence. And yes, according to the letter of the law, our 'catering staff' should refuse to serve people with alcohol if they appear to be drunk. A young, underpaid lass, faced with aggressive fans would be very foolish to attempt this.

Loads turn up to the match pissed up, the vast majority behave

Indeed, it doesn't make it not against ground regulations and the police preferences though.
