avoiding relegation

Posh went down with 54 in 2013, so still a long way for us to go to get to 55.

That was an interesting season though - as Dull went up automatically in 2nd place with only 79 points.

Last playoff place was Leicester on 68, so 14 points between relegation and playoffs.

Amazing really - just 14 points between Leicester and Posh at the end of 2013, and yet at the end of 2016 Leicester were Prem Champions by 10 points and Posh were 13th in League 1.

Magic can be Fickle
the point spread this season is far wider which suggests the bottom 3 will do well to get 45 points as the top 6 this season have far more points at halfway than that year

Not that relegation has looked remotely likely for some time now but I'd still like to hit that 50 point target as soon as we can simply because every game after that can be considered party time. The sooner we hit it the further ahead we'll be of our pre-season ambitions.

It's easy to say this now but if we'd been in Burton's position I'd have said that was good enough. To be up in a play-off spot even with an injury crisis is more than I dared ask for.

I'm just enjoying the ride,no-one has tore us a new one .Yes some teams have quality players and bigger budgets but I know I'm getting 100% from the team come what may and that'll do for me.
some think we've dropped away as expected but I think we'll come again this season and ruffle a few more feathers yet.
there's plenty more points in us this season.

Never given relegation a thought from day one to be honest, based on what i saw of the division last season...i may have slightly doffed a cap to Brentford for some of the decent football they played, but credit where it's due,and it's panned out how I thought for me...nothing to fear,no outstanding team(including Wolves)...and if it wasn't for losing players we'd still be right up there.

Is this the biggest ever look at me post...

I think so....

I'm still in mourning for Carlos, for them to win 3-0 in their first game without him, and away at forest! Just shows how good a job he was doing at the sty! RIP Carlos, never forgotten.
I suppose the thing we can take from their win, my piggy supporting mate says they were shit he says the problem was forest were worse

Relegatiion could be a blessing.

We could spend some time rebuilding (say 6 years?) then come back stronger.

A Nutter
