I hate pre season

But I'll predict first game we will start with a loss. Our first win will come against Colin down in South Wales.

Brentford are a brilliant little side. Top drawer front 3 of Jota, Canos and Vibe. My surprise tip for top 6.

Its a very tough start and I will be well pleased if we can get 2 wins from the August games. I'm confident we will get a couple of more players in before deadline day so expect us to be bottom six come September then a steady climb to mid table mediocrity. Which will be fine.

This is about reight. Maybe a home win first game if we're lucky. Mid table form all the way.

Brentford - win. I think if nothing else the players will put on a show in front of a huge crowd and determination will see us to 3 points.

Middlesbrough - heavy defeat unfortunately. Got them down for a top 2 finish and think they'll outplay us convincingly.

Cardiff - draw. I don't know too much about them but we were always stronger away last season so I reckon we'll get a point.

Barnsley - win. One of the teams I think we will be too good for.

Derby - lose. Established top-half side who will be aiming for the top 6. Again think they will be too good.

That makes 7 points from 15, which I'd be happy with.

Personally I'm not cap-doffing to anyone, more trying to be realistic and not set unrealistic expectations for myself ahead of the season. For me, it's entirely unrealistic to think we will steamroll all before us as we did last season. There will be teams that are better than us, and we will lose games, some probably heavily unfortunately.

That said, we will also spring a few surprises, and beat some teams that, on paper, we shouldn't. It's a tough division (it's not la liga as the pigs would have us believe) but I expect us to finish the season comfortably in the top half.
