Adkins has brought us a double promotion and it's our first game back in the top flight.

Out of the current squad, who could you see still being around in that matchday squad?

I'd hope the likes of Adams, Reed & Long were still about and could maybe see Murphy and Brayford having a role to play. Any others?

I will go with whatever Adkins and his staff decide and goes with . I know its a hypothetical question but my mindset is league 1 and to get out of it , this season. So is the clubs . Think too far ahead and you fall flat on your arse.

Obviously Higdon up front after the 47 goals he scored in the 2016/17 Championship season. He surprised defenders with his pace having lost 9 stones in the summer by only having chips twice a day and just the one king size Mars bar for breakfast.

DDG will be there too otherwise his dad will take him to Juve so as always, he is first name on the team sheet.

McEverley and Collins may be just a little bit too old but will play some part due to their experience. Who would have thought they would not have conceded one single goal in the 2016 calendar year?

It's a shame Scougs had to go back to school when his real birth certificate was revealed and we learnt we had illegally signed him as a 12 year old. Still Coutts has done such a great job winning 'player of the season' for 2 years and even outstripping Higdon with Opta stas show him running 37km every game.

Shame that Che had to go back to the window cleaning though and who'd have thought that Billy Sharp would leave us so early for South Barnsley? All that Bladey Blade nonsense and it turned out he was a secret pig after all.......

If this lot are good enough for back to back promotions then they will all be sold come January so thi dreams will go pop.

Sorry.

Got a good feeling about this season a manager who wants to win games and play passing football.
Bring it on.

"Sheffield United's return to the top-flight started somewhat disappointingly after a home defeat to Swansea at the Abdullah bin Musa'ad bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud Stadium yesterday, with Che Adams netting the only goal for the Swans.
Adams, a £300,000 transfer from Sheffield last season despite being valued at £6 million, made his first full appearance for Swansea having spent the entire previous season on the bench.
He grabbed his first goal in style on the half-hour mark with a clever turn past the Blades emergency loanee Nyron Nosworthy to rifle into the top left corner.

United did come close on the 83rd minute, with Billy Sharps long range effort forcing a magnificant save to deny him his 4th goal since joining the Blades in the summer of 2015."

Ok, I'm being cynical :)

Sheffield United's first season in the top flight in a decade starts amid controversy. The F.A.s attempt to ban the Chip Butty Song for negative stereo-typing and promoting an unhealthy lifestyle is ignored by a capacity crowd as the Blades thrash local rivals and relegation favourites Sheffield Wednesday 7-0.
Newly appointed reserve team coach Neil Collins has been asked to step up to first team coach after Neil Adkins fatal heart attack following Michael Higdons 47th goal last season.

Sacked Nigel already have we after 2 promotions?, wouldn't surprise me actually

Higdon and sharp make there international debuts adkins leavesnthe blades to become englands new manager

I know this thread has turned into comedy but my answer to the actual question would be, none of them, as I don't think any of our current squad are good enough to play in the Prem.

The only exceptions I would make are Long and Reed, and only IF, they develop very quickly.

Whilst I love the idea of the players being with us, I truly hope we're not in the premier league.

Really think it's a shit league and too be honest I'm sick of the money the PL sees and doesn't filter down to grass roots.

Would rather we weren't in the pl unless it had a serious overhaul.

And I find sky's new deal awful
