Little bit disappointed with the near 8000 crowd at the Lane today. I completely understand that today's match was not that attractive - I myself didn't go to Bradford on Tuesday so I'm not condemning people - but some comments on P&G made me think about what United could do other than the £10/£5 pricing strategies used in the two games this week.
We have to remember that any pricing changes had to be agreed with OUFC and BCFC for these two games but I would like to have seen children let in free with adults today. I can't honestly see how it would have made much impact on the revenue of the clubs involved - what you would have lost on the kid's tickets, you probably would have made up with extra adults bringing the kids for free. I'd have personally made it more than one kid in for free too - buy an adult ticket for £10 (maybe £15) and bring up to four kids for free. Thoughts?
