I like the Ipswich idea. It's a case of this is what we would expect our fans to pay so we'll charge your fans the same. When the pork come we should charge them the same as what they charge us which is expected to be £49, if it's less for us then it'll be less for them. The onus then really is on the first club to host the game between the two clubs to set the price. But that's totally illogical.
Each and every club has a totally different set of circumstances.
Different finances, different stadium capacities, different safety restrictions, different ambitions etc etc
Last season we only allowed MK Dons a max of 2,200 for their game at Bramall Lane.
So using your logic, even though there would have been over 20,000 EMPTY seats at the MK Dons stadium for our match last season they should only have given us 2,200 seats too when demand was over 10K.
Ipswich Town have this season tried a reciprocal agreement regards away pricing.
They emailed all Champiomship clubs to explain they'll charge away fans £25 at their ground if other clubs do the same for their fans.
I believe 15 clubs have agreed the arrangement, that's probably more fair.
I'll go 26,202
The only thing about today that was a bit disappointing.
What a match! Anyone who thinks they didn't get their 'money's worth' wants their bumps feeling.

Bank Holiday weekend in the school holidays plus it's wedding season
Yes so highest in the Championship and that includes the 2 Friday night games at Bristol City v. Villa (21,542) and Hull v. Bolton (16,207). Looking good.United had the 3rd highest gate in the country yesterday. Only Man U and Newcastle had higher.
Already averaging 26,000, with 2 out of 3 of the games having been against 2 of the most unfashionable clubs in the division in Brentford and Barnsley (irrespective of geographical proximity, Barnsley is simply not an attractive fixture and it was a misjudgement by the club to make it a Category A* match).
It appears that we'll have have a solid base of 23-24,000 Blades plus whatever the away team bring for the majority of games this season, and then there is a run of 5 consecutive home games starting on Boxing Day that will push 30,000 (or whatever SYP/SAG determine our capacity to be).
