;)I know some put a lot into our attendances v others & esp t'pigs..
But we lost today, so fair play to Leeds and Weds.....
Only 20k at lane and a massive 22k at elland rd....

Hats off , and a well done,
Credit where its deserved,,,,,,

I thought there was more at BL today, south stand and kop were pretty darn tootin full!
They said the attendance was 20100 something like that went today n last week for chesterfield which was around 23000

Difference was the away fans, last week chesterfield brought around 2000 fans , this week Blackpool brought just over 600. The kop wasn't quite as full as last week either but still a tremendous turnout for a league one game!

I didn't even know they were playing each other. Why? Because I don't give a shit about either of them.

Only 22k for a Leeds/Pigs derby?

Could it be , that it is due to just being a run of the mill fixture these days , and i class Leeds same as Huddersfield. Also the cost of a ticket at Elland Road is over the top .

IMO not a top drawer pull any more , with 2 average sides in the championship. Gates at S6 will dwindle even further , due to cost and poor football.

The gates at the lane , are still mind blowing of where we are , and credit to the fans both home and away.

I love the british footies fans obsession with attendances ,I wonder if their as bothered in spain germany etc.

I don't know about spain germany but I think that in German Germany they are bothered.

Dortmund had an average of 80k last season (cheapest season ticket Euro 187) and the Bundeslegia is better attended than our own 'best league in the world'.

To be honest, attendances are the only thing we can crow about after five tepid years in the third division.

From the Westfield Corner stand the kop looked half-empty. I was surprised there were as many as 20,000 in the ground when the attendance was announced.

Can we leave this attendance nonsense in , " the stir " so the pigs can bang on about it , very good ,
loyal crowd for 3rd Div .
Pigs probably bottled it again , sorry staged a protest about ticket prices so didn't take as many as
They'd normally do .

Must admit I checked this morning the attendances in Championship v our attendance and enjoyed the fact that pigs v scum was only 2,000 more than ours, even though they are both 'sleeping giants'.

"Big Yorkshire derby", my arse!!
And no excuses possible from the little piggie-wiggies about Leeds' shocking admission prices, given the shameful defence of their own price-hikes made by so many of them.

Anyway, another cracking turn-out at the Lane (albeit a quiet one for most of the time). Which is all that really matters.

I'm sure radio Sheffield said that the piggies only took 1300 to Leeds yesterday, Chessie brought more to us!

Our attendances are good ,if we keep winning and are round the top they will get better

I might even come
Get this pot off my leg and I will definitely come. Mind you it'll make no difference as having a season ticket I'm counted as being there anyway

Proper Blade pah! Never missed a home game with a/pot on broken ankle for nine weeks and b/fractured hip for twelve weeks. Bloody part timers :)
Unfortunately is not just broken it's been totally dismantled and then glued and screwed back together.

I can't put any weight on it, I can't do steps and my local station doesn't have level access but even if it did I wouldn't be able to get on the train.

Fair play to you though, proper Blade ;-)

I don't think playing against Leeds is as big a deal to Wendy as it is to us.

When Leeds were in their Don Revie "pomp", we were in the top flight with them. Tuesday night matches against them (they always seemed to be night matches) always resulted in about 12-15000 Leeds fans (half of them not from Leeds) turning up and causing mayhem. The violence I witnessed at those games made a massive impression on me as a kid of 10-13. Like many my age or thereabouts there's always been a strong desire to stuff it back at them in a way the Wendy fans I know of the same age group don't really feel. It's probably another Yorkshire derby to them: to us its a game of hate and bile.

Pathetic from both massive clubs.

I'm thinking a cross between Monty Python's knight; "Tis a mere flesh wound" and their Four Yorkshiremen who lived in ' ole in't road.

Could we start a 'worst injury I've ever been to BDTBL with....' thread?

My opening gambit would be the day I came out of the head transplant hospital....
