Attendance for Leicester?

Really really disappointing ticket sales for this to be honest. I'd expect better from a big club such as ourselves

Make it 1000 loyalty points and more would go, shouldn't have to do that but I reckon it would make an impact on the attendance
A great suggestion. These are the nights that test fans loyalty. The club has made a gesture by keeping admission prices down and it would be nice to reward the fans that turn out with extra loyalty points.

7k would be my guess. Followed by tonnes of social media guff from pigs about how they'd have sold out.

anyone know how the ticket sales for tommorws game is going. I'm a bit apprehensive that now it's been selected for Tv coverage the gate will fall lower than what i expected. Anyone know how many Leicester have sold?
UTB

Depends, is he gonna make a lot of changes?

3 home games in a week & live on sky understandably this will be the one that gets the shoulder by a number of families although me, the lad & granddaughter will be there. Can't see Leicester fielding owt like a first eleven considering theyve got man ure at weekend plus Vardy limped off at weekend. UTB

I can't believe, again, that they haven't given Leicester more tickets and made it pay on the day for them. We did the same on Saturday for Barnsley and it's frightening how much revenue we're losing through this stupid thought process.

BLLT looked full to me, did they not sell their allocation?

The club are looking after Blades fans first and foremost.
Christ knows they,ve had stick for years for giving away fans the whole Lane end. There are legit criticisms like underselling young talent and the catering.. We should be praising the club on this one.
Barnsley didnt sell out anyway apparently.

Not be many there. Both sides playing the reserves in 2nd round of cup when it's on tele. Can't imagine many non season ticket holders being there, with them only just paying 30 odd quid at weekend

There's going to be hardly any Blades fans there in reality and Leicester sold out a bit back so it's daft not to offer them more tickets. This isn't unwarranted criticism from me as I see it as pure logic to do this simple thing.

Barnsley sold out on the Wednesday or Thursday last week. Now I'm not saying they'd have sold loads more but if you open the upper tier for them and say it's not all ticket you always get pay on the day supporters turn up if the facility is available, another 100 tickets at £30 a pop is £3,000, it's not to be sniffed at.

But we had already sold tickets on the upper tier before Barnsley sold out.

Add to that the additional cost for stewarding/police on the upper tier between the Westfield Corner and the revenue is outweighed.

Surprised anyone is ever surprised at crap cup crowds. If we break 10,000 that would be a great turn out. Cup competitions are games for reserves, kids and match fitness and the football authorities are getting exactly what they deserve.

I totally understand it is for some, I've been there myself. But I know some season ticket holders who aren't going, just because it is on Sky.

I'm not going because I can't be arsed.

The cups these days have lost their excitement. It's the premier league that have caused it. Teams used to always play their full strength teams, nobody does anymore. I only go to last 16 or better now. That's when teams start taking it seriously and think they have a chance.

I remember growing up on FA Cup final day. Everybody would be talking about it and that's what everybody would be doing that day; watching the game.
You'd nip to the shops on your BMX and little old ladies would be stood with their loafs gassing at the counter about who was going to win.
Won't be long till the FA Cup final is played in fucking China. They've already moved it to 5:30pm

So another logical suggestion would be to not sell any on the upper tier until we sold the rest of the ground out?

You can surely see what the club are doing here in opening up the upper tier just for a couple of hundred people at the most, so that outweighs the revenue then doesn't it when you can squeeze them in somewhere else?

I just want our club to make as much money as possible for us to prosper, S64.

Just went on to buy tickets and seen theyve gone up to 15 plus booking fee, fuck that!

I can understand putting prices up a quid or 2 for big games but if theyve already decided which stands are going to be open then they know how many caterers and coppers they need so I cant see any reason for a 50% increase especially when its on telly.

< 10K for me and to be honest I dont really care about the cups at the mo, all about making the playoffs!

Add to that it's an advantage to us not giving the upper tier to away fans.

But your suggestion was sell 100 to away fans (higher associated cost), rather than 500 or so home fans.

I want the club to prosper too and in the scenario you provided, there would be a negative affect.

Derby on Saturday may be different, as they would be likely to sell the top tier, but we may come close yet too.

This could have been done better. The 1000 loyalty points idea is fantastic, and I can see no reason why it shouldn't be considered. The bottom line is we are looking at a very small crowd for a TV game that will be watched by hundreds of thousands if not millions across the world. Many people aren't bothered about the Leage Cup 2nd round regardless of who we play, and Leicester aren't Man U or Arsenal. A tenner admission (including on the day) and 500 or 1000 loyalty points for attendees would have drawn a far higher crowd. If we're really looking at just 10k it is pretty embarrasing, but not the fans' fault given its sandwiched between two big home games in the Championship.

United clearly don't want any on the day walk-ups/pay on the day as illustrated by this policy. Not sure if this is more "advice" from SYP or the club's idea but they're obviously doing their best to stop it.

Is it just the downside of the automated turnstiles meaning everyone has to queue at the ticket office and they can't cope? If it is there must be something they can do as they're just turning money down.

I honestly don't know the reason for increasing prices on the day of the game. If anyone knows I'd be interested to hear.

Also there's plenty of season ticket holders that don't live locally like myself, so midweek games are difficult.
