Atmosphere learning from the past ...

The atmosphere will come. People need to relax about this, there's some obvious of reasons why we're not as loud as we once were and they'll all be fixed if we escape this division, barr one maybe.

1. Rarely is the away end even half full. No one can hear the away fans regardless of how loud they sing and as a result there's no tension between the fans to fuel any singing.

2. As above, if you're seated in the kop you spend the entire game facing an empty stand. Doesn't make you feel like you're in a packed out stadium and doesn't give much cause to singing.

3. We're in league 1. I think a lot of people feel slightly embarrassed to sing when we've spent nearly 6 years in a division well below our level. There is a disjoint between fans expectations and the current achievements and it creates the opposite sort of atmosphere you want.

4. Do you not feel stupid singing sat down? I just think the rule on seating isn't great for creating an intimidating atmosphere. More of a problem with the overall football world at present than anything though.

You fill up my lawn mower like a cutting of Desso
Like a packet of grass seed, like a good pinch of weed.
