The edge.
For me,this has been the most enjoyable.
The team are a team of winner's.
The management are a team of winner's.
On the verge of winning a trophy well and truly deserved.
Playing the best football I've ever seen at bramall lane.
Party mode with five games left.
Being a blade has always been a privilege, but this season it's been an honour.
Happy blades again.thanks Chris and bfg.
Did it feel as good as this under Warnock??it's been that bloody long!!

It's been beyond belief really. We never could have hoped for such perfection.

We'll never forget this season, we'll never forget this team, we'll certainly never forget this manager.

They've been an absolute credit to this football club.

Take today for example - already promoted, out celebrating for a few days, nailed on to win the league.... yet still turn up, give 100% right from the start and win 3-0. It sums them up.

My 7th placed prediction wasn't far off then

And prediction's like that were totally reasonable.

But Wilder's done everything right and then some - so instead we effectively won the title in 39 games!

Totally unbelievable season.

The chants from time to time of "We're Sheff United, we're taking the piss" sort of sums it up. (Not in an arrogant way, because it's always done with a sort of undertone of disbelief. This is us??!)

And to think we've actually been rock bottom of the Third Division, this very season.

Heart, courage, self-belief, never-say-die attitude, relentlessness, organisation, professionalism. But what sheer style we've done it in, what style! It's been joyous.

If ever a season showed that HOW you win does matter...

The style you rightly speak of is not the cherry on the top of our results. It is cause and effect.

Thank Pele for that wonderful bushy-tailed manager we have.

Not just the style but also the incredible discipline. Only Basham's lunge at Scunny to blot the record.

It's Clough-esque.

....this has been my favourite season in 40 years coming down the lane.

Entertaining football - check
promotion - check
Running away with the league -check
players I'm happy to pay to watch - check

happy days

I've been going for roughly the same time as you and I fully concur . This one beats the lot by a considerable distance . Only Bassetts second and Porterfield in the fourth come close .

We have been absolutely relentless this season and it's a joy to witness .

Our response to other teams willing us to.lose and drop points ..... We just change gear and pull away from them .

I've never witnessed a Blades team do this so fucking well .

Plus, I've watched countless of teams run away with the league and sat thinking "if only we could do that". Well it's happening so I'm enjoying it.
Yes its always been us looking with envy as sides like Reading (Championship) Charlton,Wolves, Bristol City et al were runaway winners of the league and here we are now champions (all bar the shouting) with 3 games left - Im ecstatic !

I think you have to go back to the Harris days to find anything close to this season, it pisses all over 2006 which was spoilt by Colin and his antics with Mandaric and Portsmouth. I still say we could have won the league but for that distraction. Just before a Steel City derby too but as with Colin it was only ever about him 1st, 2nd and 3rd, Wilder will be twice the manager Colin is given time.

In all my time of supporting the Mighty Blades since 1968 only the magical Woodward/Currie promotion matches this one. All our promotion years have ended brilliantly, that goes without saying, but this one ignoring the first month has just been brilliant all the way.
I seem to remember during the Warnock promotion, fans were calling for his head during the last few months, fearing he was going to fail.
This one is all the more special as it brings to an end such a long period of failure. Chris Wilder is already a Blades legend for me.

Meh.
We didn't sign Sam Morsy and Dan Burn would have been twice the player Magic Hat Jack is. And then when you think of all the Season ticket holders not counted in the attendance and it become an absolute shambles.
Wilder, McCabe, Board Arghhhht, Shoes Off int car park!

3rd tier or not this is easily the best season I have seen in over 20 years. Warnock's promotion was as exciting but the football was nowhere near as good. In fact the only team that came close to playing as well as this was Spackman's, until our glorious board shafted him and us.
This is also the most together looking team since Harry's lads.

My favourite since winning the 4th.......the Basset years used to be fun but we were always accused of playing hoofball and the Colin years were fun but always a bit devalued by Colin's antics. I didn't mind so much so long as we were winning but I used to get a lot of earache from neutrals - I used to tell them to fuck off of course. What is completely different now is that Tufty has a team of winners playing top quality football....the man is a genius
