I think he'll be a good asset. Has pace to burn, seen him put some very good crosses in and he's fairly skilful.

Not a bad signing IMO...

Still we wouldn't be blades unless we thought of a negative to his signing.

I'm just saying what he did when I saw him play, not how we'll play him.

On the plus side though, his pace does seem to cause problems and make it easier to cut through defences.

Still, if he doesn't get a hat trick on his first appearance he's shite .

hang on, i havent not given him a chance, ive just stated i dont like the tactic of getting crosses in, id much rather we play football and open up teams

you have to admit though that any service is better than none!

I loved the old days when wingers flew down the wing and got great crosses in.

So rather than turning the defence around by putting crosses in from the goal line you would rather we try and run through the middle of the defence where itis nice and packed - possible but a tough option, unless you are talking about playing all out defence and catching teams on the break. I think I will stick with the crowd on this one.

At the end of "passing it around" it is often someone going past the fullback and crossing the ball with the defence turned around. Like I said, I am with the crowd who think playing a 'traditional' winger is important. But happy to win regardless.

Isn't whipping crosses in playing football? Last season when Cotts was at his best doing just that, we were arguably playing some very good stuff.

We always play football. There are several clues to this - the "F" in S.U.F.C., the fact that it's a "football" match, the presence of 22 footballers on the field at the start of every match, and other stuff along those lines.

Why pointless? If you can clarify what you mean by "football" then we might have more of an idea of what you refer to. Simply saying "play football" means everything and nothing.
