All the Arsenal fans moaning is making me chuckle and they should be careful what they wish for . Then it got me thinking , and for the first time ever in my life I wouldn't swap managers with them !! Can't wait for tomorrow , thanks EVERYONE at BDTBL for making this happen !!
Come on you Red and White Wizaaaaaaards !!!
Woke up this morning feeling fine,
Got Sheff Utd on my mind,
Chris Wilders got us playing just the way we should.....
Something tells me we're onto something gooooood !!
As ever UTB !

10/10 for positivity and enthusiasm

0/10 song writing skills ;)

What is 'ambition' in relation to Arsenal? It seems qualification for the CL is the aim every year. That's it. They don't win it. They don't really challenge for it. They don't really sign players to push them on.

Does Wenger need to leave? I'd say so. They need a new impotus.

I seriously doubt it ha! Was working on a Gala bingo yesterday , the tune comes on in the breaks between games and I found myself humming away ! Then wasted the next hour and a half of my life trying to fit some words to the tune #saddo !!
As ever UTB!!

The Arsne Wenger thing with Arsenal fans always makes me think just how bad things could be if the anti-McCabe brigade got their way.

OK things haven't been brilliant but we could be talking Blackpool or Coventry on here.

The thing I always find funny with any club is

The Chairman could have no ambition, sell their best players and treat fans badly BUT
If that club is in the PL then that a Chairman is accepted ans lauded as great.

Take Sunderland, big crowds ans big income but never show any ambition
Take Southampton, always sell their best players ever year.

Conversely you could have the greatest Chairman, who shows ambition etc
But if that club is struggling in the lower divisions then they are classed as poor.

Wednesdayites think their Chairman is the best thing since sliced bread
But if they don't get promoted soon then they could end up like Bolton or Portsmouth with massive debts.

On the subject of songs has the "Were on the march with Wilson's army" number been given an airing this season obviously with Tufty or wilder in place of Wilson ?

No one lauds Ellis Short as a great.

If you 'show ambition' but fail and fall flat on your arse, that means you're probably doing something wrong. Simply showing ambition isn't really enough. It's like players, they're expected to put effort in and give 100% but they're also expected to have some kind of ability.

Not a dig at the OP, but I would like to say that I don't give a fuck about Arsenal and their whiny entitled fan base.

The same applies to all these 'big' clubs that attract plastic tourists to wander around in their replica shirts, without any genuine emotional investment in the club.

Give me a Bristol Rovers or Peterborough (or of course Blades) fan any day of the week over these money making empires and their shit fans.

Southampton seem to replace their best players with good players, so there's not much overall drop in quality.

Other teams - say, Sheffield United between 2007 and 2015 - replace their best players with overpaid, unfit dross, resulting in a worse team. That's why they are classed as poor.

And this "Wednesday will end up like Bolton or Portsmouth if they don't go up soon" sounds like all that crap said about how they were going out of business, which was never going to happen.

That guy has been in charge for 2 years. I agree that, if that were McCabe, or Mike McDonald, he would have slashed the budget and sold the best players after one failed promotion challenge. It appears Wednesday's guy is better resourced, or has a plan which he's going to stick to.

So, if we ever get back into the PL and we start getting glory seekers and tourists coming to the game, will you stop going?

McDonald did in January 1998 when he thought we'd blown automatic. McCabe backed Robson with Beattie, Naysmith, Hendrie, Ehiogu, Speed, Carnie etc but just let the wrong bloke spend the money. It was a gamble on going straight back that crippled us with a completely unsustainable wage bill. He did sell Beattie after a season because he didn't have the readies to bankroll losses of £10m per year.

Certiainly he's splashed the cash and given it a good go this season. Whether he has the money and the heart for a sustained challenge if they don't get up this year, will be the question. If he loses heart then you will see the fire sale to end all fire sales. Here's hoping.

Yep, both times the cash ran out too fast, unfortunately.

I don't anticipate financial meltdown at the Sty, but I certainly pray for it!

But this time we have a prince of a rich royal family partnering the helm!
Which will mean we've got the financial might to mix it with the big boys!!!!............................. Oh, hold on a minute, that was just the dream.
How can we possibly mix it with the big boys if we can't even afford to stock enough pukka pies!!!!!?!!!!!

Arsenal are really suffering
just 2 FA cup wins in the past 3 seasons , 2 prem runners up and cl qualification every season
no wonder they want to oust that loser

Wenger has always championed academy players coming through to become stars
remember their young talent ripping us apart 6-0 with outstanding skills

but , who needs entertainment

lets all just spend 100s of millions buying foreign players and do nothing different

Arsenal should be challenging for all the major honours
They have the money but won't pay the wages ,so are getting left behind
.

Really? Man. United and Man. City undoubtedly 'pay the wages' but are being left behind by the natural 'churn' in football. Arsenal have been on the slide for years. Liverpool no longer dine at the top table. My mate is a Spurs fan, but is spitting feathers about last nights loss. I haven't the heart to tell him it could get worse if Pochettino goes to the Gooners...

Despite all their riches, Man. City are way behind Bayern Munich, PSG, Real Madrid and Barca.

Im really struggling to see how you came to that conclusion re: the OP?

Unless our last ten or so years of decline have passed you by whilst Wenger has been winning cups and playing in the Champions league!?!??

:o

I don't think Arsenal are on the slide. They have the same PL and CL season over and over again.

Finish in the top 4 every year, but never come close to winning the league.

Go through the CL group stage every year, and get knocked out in the last 16.

It's odd. Other teams wax and wane. They just carry on.

(I know they done well in domestic cups but that doesn't seem to be that important to their fans)
