I remember us playing New Zealand and I think we won 4-2.
2 stunning second half goals from NZ and a goal from Mike Lake from a ridiculous angle.

can't remember when it was though

I was at that one! I think we lost 4-2 though (stand to be corrected). I also think Jamie Hoyland scored the other one for us.
It would have been either late 80s or very early 90s

I suspect the clubs view is that they must always look to reward and advantage STH's wherever possible so that the good fans are happy and the non-renewing scum can dig deep or f off.

As non-renewing scum I'll go with this one because I may never, ever get to see a Copa Libertadores sides' reserves again.

To be fair I saw a current Libertadores semi finalist play a weakened team earlier in the year. And they would still have tore us a new one.

Almost exactly my thoughts too. Except, I suspect they underestimated initial interest and so quickly banged on the extra £5 for us none renewers (oh how I regret not sacrificing my £300 on the alter of the Hoof now).
I'm just going in the hope of seeing one more glimpse of Sir Alejandro and a thanks for memories past. If he decides to twat Hoofy at any time during the 90 he will rise a couple of places in my all time top ten.

Well, I was going to take Mrs Houso to her first SUFC match, now she can sod off for £15!

Especially since I'm non-renewing scum.

I was going to go, and possibly even earn some housepoints by taking her and the kids, but United can ferk right off now. And yes, I'm non-renewing scum as well.

And of the NRS, how many would expect to have spent more than the £5 difference either at the Open Day or on half time snacks.......??

The NRS.......quick Tony get some t-shirts knocked up we'll split thye profits equally between you, me and the Mods. Same deal on the "ANSWER THE QUESTION LEN" range which will be the biggest selling bit of kit since the "Frankie Says..." days of the mid-Eighdeez.

I have renewed and a tenner is still waaaay too steep and i wont be going, even though i intended. Then again we have to fund the re-signing of Akinbiyi somehow.....

How is £10 too expensive to see one of the best teams in South America in a rarer than platted snow visit to Europe?
I think £15 is reasonable as I haven't got a ST

Or as it would work out for me £50 before getting into the ground, as opposed to the previous tally of £28?

I was going on 1 ticket not a group ticket.
Everybody has a different outlook on it depending on how many tickets they would have to buy.

Per head it isn't a bad price in my opinion.

For a seasoned fan, yes. For a family, it's a fucking shocking amount to pay. This is on the "Open = Family Day" as well.

I'm with you mate, don't think these prices are unreasonable at all. It's bad form to release one price and seemingly withdraw it subsequently but I'll quite happily pay £20 for me and the boys for this one.

Mind you, I'm not scum...

One for those who have branded themselves ' non renewing scum', come on people don't put yourselves in boxes or little groups. I myself have been called a' happy clapper ', Idont accept any title related to terms like that. The only group that matters is that 'we're all Blades aren't we?' Now stop sulking and get yourselves to the ticket office and renew. I just have and you never know if you ask nicely like me you may even get your season ticket at the discounted rate. (whoops should I have said that?) GO ON, GET AND SUPPORT THE TEAM YOU LOVE.

I'll be down there today. But it'll just be a couple for the Argies (unless Hoofy is spotted heading for Swansea in his interview suit - and what a fucking culture shock that would be after Martinez and Sousa).

NRS, NRS - yep, got a nice ring to it.

Coming to watch junior sunday league with me then?

Sorry whats the NRS bit?

I can't get a ST as I A: Don't have the funds & B: I have my 2 year old stop at weekends and she's too young to take to matches (So her Mother says! :D )
If I could afford it and had free weekends then i'd get an ST in a flash

It was about 92 if I was having to guess. I'd started watching in 1990 and remember going to this match so deffo early 90s. Found it strange we were playing an international team!

February 17, 1992. We won 4-2 and the scorers were Bradders, Paul Rogers, Jamie Hoyland and Nathan Peel.

Thank you :D

Not at all, old bean :D

I didn't make that match actually, which I first thought was a bit odd, as I can distinctly remember making a fuss to get to the Charlton replay the week beforehand. I then thought about it a bit, and it might have had something to do with the bailiffs turning up to evict us, as the landlord hadn't paid the mortgage for over a year.

I think I'm excused that one .....

Just looked at tickets for this game and it only appears that the South Stand will be open.

I thought demand would be much higher for this game, I'm sure we opened all 4 sides for the Benfica game a few years back...

Should I hang fire in case we open the kop or should I buy now, hmmm....
