Much as I object to the figure mentioned I will be there. I'm also guessing we will have yet another thread of 'I'm a bigger blade than you' , but loyalty points system is unfair and discriminates against those that don't/can't go, it's biased in favour of season ticket holders, only real blades are on kop and should get priority etc etc etc. Can't wait.

I think the loyalty points system is the fairest way of doing it for the majority of fans. It's like any business, you favour your most loyal customers. Of course season ticket holders should be at an advantage, because they are making a definite financial commitment to the club, regardless of whether the team does well or not. Whereas "pay on the day" supporters are not making that commitment and we all know what happens when the team is playing poorly - crowds drop and the club loses out on revenue.

As for the match at Hillsborough, I'm almost certain I'll be going. I think Sheffield derbies are the most exciting games of all and to actually be there in the crowd is to witness a piece of local history. I wouldn't miss it for the world and I certainly wouldn't let some Thai fishmonger price me out of it - reluctant though I may be to pay those ridiculously inflated prices.

I've had some of the best nights ever there supporting the Blades and some of the lowest of lows. But you just have to, the highs are just the best ever.

£30 is my limit, regardless of who we're playing. Will make an exception for a semi or final.

Like the utilities and insurance companies?

I may just miss out on a ticket, if anyone isn't going I would be happy to use their points to get a ticket, they get the points and I get a ticket everyones a winner! Let me know chaps!

Friend of mine (well probably acquaintance as can a pig really be a friend?) has just bought his South Stand season ticket there and it cost him £705 - ouch. Just the £213 more than our equivalent - what a rip-off!

Given that I probably won't have enough loyalty points, no,given the fact my brother in law can get me in a corporate box with him and his mates/ my brothers and nephews but I'll have to dress smart/ casual AND keep quiet,FUCK,NO!!!!!
The only consolation being,he's also ripping off his own supporters, who, magically for this one, will appear from skirting boards, rotting door frames and the old derelict quarry on Halifax Road, rocks being overturned en masse, and in the week preceding the fixture, shoplifting rates and shed burglaries rise to fund the entrance fee( just to prove how massive the support is).

I don't have enough loyalty points. it's looking like a no from me unless a friend doesn't go and I can use his points to get a ticket?. Slim chance!.

It'll be £42 won't it? If I can get a ticket though then I'll probably pay it. Will be easily worth it if we beat them in their own rusting shit heap.

Bravo, sir. Poetically put. Not paying that x 2 so jr and I can enter the rusting shit heap for this one, personally, but I was briefly tempted again by the persuasive case you make.

Mine only cost £418 for me and the young un in the family stand. Bargain or What?

If it's going to 30k points PM me.
Don't agree with this tbh.

I know you mean well but by doing that you're allowing someone to go who doesn't have as many loyalty points as another Blade that would miss out.

Register him as "family and friends" then buy a ticket on his account before he does. When he tries to buy one it will decline him saying he's already got one ticket. Then just casually explain it to him over a pint. If he's a good mate he'll understand.

I'll be coming over for this one and the Wolves match. No chance of getting at ticket for the game (at least not in our end) so will probably watch it in one of the pubs near the Lane, presuming its on Sky. Not sure where yet. Somewhere full of Blades with a big screen.

Yes it's on Sky, but it's on the same day as the Sheffield 10k so getting around the City Centre is going to be a bit of a pain.
