generally those at the top who concede less , score less
we are top scorers , but the trade off is conceding a few more

We can't just say 10 goals in 4 games just happens it's fine. We have to look at solving this problem. At this rate we need 3 goals to win a game. I understand we play attacking football and therefore will concede more. I don't want the style to change. Let the attacking players attack. We need better defenders.

Leaving Hillsborough on the night we beat them 3-1 with the Bobby Davison double their fans were trying to put things into their own perspective by chanting the fact they had qualified for Europe. Personally I wouldn't have swapped the feeling that night for a European place.

Out of all the big local derbies we (both clubs) seem to enjoy not playing one another. I started watching the Blades in 1964 and I think in over 50 seasons we've only had 17 seasons in the same division.

There's a few discrepancies in this thread in my opinion.

I think someone has pointed out that when CW was appointed, he made some statement that he was going to build his team around characters like Brayford (I think Basham and Scougs were mentioned too), not what he'd say if 'he didn't fancy him'. I think it's fairly certain the reason for him going on loan were purely financial, ie his wages being paid by Burton.

I don't think Brayford is the answer to our current defensive frailties either. He's no CB in my opinion. I think he'd give Freeman a run for his money at RWB or RB but CB?.... not for me and certainly not ahead of JOC or EEL.

The simple answer is to bring Wright back into the centre between JOC and EEL. He can organise them, therefore we should see a happier and better performing JOC and EEL and therefore a better unit. Sorry Bash, too many bad errors for me.

When are people gonna realise, EEL is a defender, he defends, head it clear and kick it clear. He's not Beckenbauer, so why is everyone expecting him to be? If he has to play the ball, then it should be no more than 10 yards to someone who can play. His mistakes are because he needs someone like Wright to tell him where to be and what to do, like he did when he was playing well and everyone thought he was the messiah.

I agree Jake Wright needs to come back into the team. He's got quite a bit of pressure on him to perform when he inevitably does come back in as every blades fan has been calling for him.

Wasn't Brayford one of the players Wilder said we should be building around? He knew what his wages were back when he made those comments.

so were the rest of the team.. Looks like Clough is off to Forest anyway, so we may end up with the beard back after all.. Maybe he'll play a couple, maybe he wont, but he comes back into a 'strong' team. Cant see him moving on loan again either as i reckon Clough will join monday'ish and the window shuts 24 hours later soooooooo
