Is this just a mini crisis, where business will resume as normal in the next few weeks now Wilder is back (i.e. we pick up points reliably and are generally hard to beat), or are we really in trouble.

I was hopeful leading up to the Charlton game, now I'm not so sure 😐

Yes, it's ridiculous to say otherwise. That's not to say we'll definitely be relegated but it's very foolish to deny we're at serious risk.

I'd say so. We can't score a goal and can't keep a clean sheet. I think we'll turn it around, but we've been horrible so far.

Not sure whether it's expectations or blind hope at this stage, but my expectation is/was we will pull comfortably clear. When you get into a habit of losing, it's difficult to snap out of it

Not as confident as I was about fairly quickly moving up the table.

Not got enough goals in the team, and we didn't get many last season with more options, considering our lofty position.

Got to give it some time for Wilder and co to tackle the issues but does he still have it in him to deal with this scenario? What happens if we're still in the same or similar position after another 5 games?

My hope was he'd get a tune out of the squad enough to allow us to be close enough to the top 6 by the end of the year, to use January to bring in two or three to give us a chance in the second half of the season.

I didn't expect much yesterday but I was disappointed with what we got tbh.

We've got issues all over the pitch with players badly out of form or seemingly not putting 100% in, players never fit or fully fit, and some not good enough frankly.

I still don't think we'll go down if I'm pushed, but I think I've over-estimated the ability of the current squad.

Best hope is that Mee and Ings can contribute meaningfully, Davies can stay fit once back, and we find a formation that suddenly brings a spark and a goal threat.

Hardly a given to say the least 😕

120 points up for grabs.

We have (deservedly) lost all our games, scoring one goal in the process. We look physically weak, lazy and totally lacking any self belief. I don't understand why this is even a question. I would happily take 21st place.

From what I can see the performances are inept, confidence is shot (unsurprisingly), and the team and squad are weaker than last season.

Having said all that, and as much as I'm not a member of the Wilder fan club, I expect we won't struggle for a lack of effort (yes I know yesterday people called the players out for that), a lack of quality might be a different point though.

I'm not saying we can make the playoffs, but I wouldn't be shocked beyond belief either if we did.

I certainly wouldn't like to be putting money on where we will finish this season (if you had to pick in bands of 4 places).

The team's got relegation written all over it and has from the second goal Bristol City scored on the first day.
No character, limited ability, bar Hamer very little creativity, far too many players which will foster an unhappy dressing room.
All the ingredients are there and it would be a huge job for whoever was manager after Selles.

Pure naivety to say that we flat out aren't.

We're not just bottom, or even winless, we have a 100% loss record. One loss away from equalling the worst start ever, I think?

I'm confident enough to think this squad can get out of the mess it's in, but we've not actually seen anything yet to suggest that will happen.

Until it does, we're relegation contenders.

ONLY scored 1 goal in the 6 league games so far this season that is relegation form. Only way Blades are going unless Wilder can sort the problem out
