Still worrying 15seconds into game and if he could use his left peg he could have shot.

Didnt celebrate his goal but then again, did his chances of being bought back at end of season a lot of good infront of Villa manager.

He didn’t, but I’m guessing he might be a Villa fan. Either way he’s a local lad that came through their set up, so it’s understandable he wouldn’t.

The terms of the CA transfer appears to be quite unique, I’m guessing that all of the experts on here are purely speculating as to the outcome….what we do have is a premier standard striker when managed properly…a fit Cam gives us a goal threat

Emery said in a press conference the deals protected Villa in a way they could resign him for a reasonable fee (in their eyes) if he progressed and they wanted to. Same with the lad they sold to Burnley.

He’s a proper player, hard feeding off scraps when we’ve had the ball about 30% of the time this season and not created enough. Seen it in flashes and he’s got bits to work on, but the raw pace, movement and finishing are there. Whatever happens he’ll stay at this level and score goals, absolutely no doubt in my mind.

With respect , that information is “as Football Insider understands “ which is no guarantee that they are the precise terms on which the transaction was finally completed , which is what I am seeking to establish .

Someone who contributes on here will know the definitive answer . Will that someone please step forward and provide it . Please …….?

Villa are obliged to buy Archer back at a pre-agreed price if we’re relegated.

Saw CW burst out laughing when asked if archer was available for selection last night..

He wasn't touching the question of the deal with a shitty stick..

You can have a guess why!

Presuming we are relegated... Don't want to create a new post however if the rumours are correct a Villa do indeed have the enforced buyback. If he was available for loan next season would you take him based on his previous Championship seasons?

Honestly don't see him as better than other options we've got at the club already, so no

How do players look like world beaters every time they play against us then meh when they play for us?

I’ve been pro Wilder since his return based on merit, but for me one of his biggest fuck ups is his refusal to acknowledge Archer’s worth to us.

Yes the lad is one-footed, undoubtedly he could work much harder, and it seems unlikely he’ll be with us next season.

But….. to leave Archer out of the starting line up has been criminal. Who else could have scored his opener for us today? The same applies vs Everton, Wolves and Villa.

And yet he’s been discarded for BBD (who has done well) and Osula, who for all his supposed promise (for some, not for me) who is beyond raw and a rabbit in the headlights in front of goal.

If we’re to have a faint glimmer of staying up, Archer has to start. Simple as.

I have to agree the dropping of Archer was not a good move.
