Outgoing? Arblaster

Agreed, he’s a step behind Archie IMHO
Not that there’s any shame in that, Gray has a real chance of starting in midfield for Tottenham today. Arblaster isn’t quite at his level, but not many are.

Every player has a market value.

Buying club meets selling clubs value = Player gets sold.

Stick a £25m price on his head, if a club wishes to pay we sell.

All the rose tinted views of Arblaster being the beating heart of our midfield for years to come is idealistic at best.

If Arblaster is still with us by 2027 it means he won’t have been as good as we all hoped. On the flip side, if he is as good as we all hope then he’ll be gone by end of next year.

Recent years we’ve sold at fair prices - as long as this continues then no issues.

I’m not sure we’ll be willing to sell at the price we’ll get offered. ‘Blaster feels like a £20m player at most to others but probably a £25-30m player for us. Homegrown, popular in the squad + one of the key players building this next model of Sheff Utd.

Let's be real blades men some of you are heavily inflating his bladey blade price tag and ability he isn't Rodri he isn't even as half as good as Berge yet IMO

Some of the best young English champ prospects recently sold

Archie Gray - £30 Mill
Adam Wharton - £20 Mill
Alex Scott - £25 Mill

Arblaster is nowhere near as good as how good as they were in the champ just yet for me if someone bids £25 Mill he is off the only positive is that he Is a blade on a long contract

But by those prices, his actual worth is probably 10/15 Mill

Really hope we don’t have to sell him. Certainly not to promoted clubs who are odds on to be back in the championship next season anyway.

Hopefully the osula archer & Bogle sales and Anels (potential sale) mean we don’t have to rush to accept any bids.

Realistically the premier league is too much for us under current ownership we will never do more than yo-yo - because we can’t compete financially. So I was hoping to enjoy a season with some youth like arblaster, osula, Jebbo and brooks coming through - would be a shame to sell all of them before we see what they can develop into.

I think there’s a few people on here who are inflating that price because they’d prefer Blaster to stay, and only those crazy figures would be acceptable. I know I am. I don’t really think he’s worth £45m, but that’s the number that would make it more acceptable

I think Peck and Shackleton could pick up the weight of this loss IF we get a £20m + bid.

I don't think Blaster would want to go to the recently promoted teams but Brentford might be a great opportunity.

He said himself he wanted to improve and become a £40m asset for us, I hope he gets his wish!

If the takeover leads to proper money then maybe we can rise in line with Arblaster's potential.

I'm not hopeful on that from the little we know of the buyers, but would rather wait & see than sell him now.
I'm kind of sick of us selling prospects before they've done anything in the first team, it's happened too many times now.

The way to avoid having to spend serious money in order to get promoted and be the recipient of serious money is to produce your own players of high value. When they come through the youth team they also won’t be on daft wages.

If you then flog then before you’ve had any use out of them, where does it leave you?

It leaves you spending even more money on wages and diluting the quality of your team.

At some point you have to dig your heals in.

You sell to a Brentford, Southampton or Ipswich, all of whom would be a good bet to finish in the bottom 5, you just make it harder to pass them.

It’s not so different to having Ronaldo or Messi in their prime. You could sell them for daft money, but you’d only replace them with inferior players.

Same here.

We have to be a bit more savvy as a team but I believe we have the best midfield in the division.

Sell Anel, replace him with a better defender. But don’t break something that could see us go up.

If the new owner are serious they shouldn't be selling, Anel doesn't want to be here and Souza thinks he'better than Pele. Owners should say those two and no one else, we're here to overtake the likes of Ipswich etc so they're staying

Just because they went for that does not mean we can't name our price.

Oli is a Blade too and doesn't want to leave so we should hold out for 30m+

Osula is a £1m player at best on performances so to get £10-15 it’s great business
It’s in the right ball park for his age and profile but it’s not an exorbitant fee. Same with around 20 for Blaster it’d be a good fee but not an amazing one.

And that’s my logic I don’t see a situation where we’d hold out for more than that

I think Osula is a unique example, but agree on Arblaster.

One of the best posts I've seen Champagneblade. Lets hope the club agrees with you!

I just don't think he'll leave to any of the clubs linked.

If a top 6 club came in, he would. But they won't come in for him "yet"
100%
Other than a payout, why would you swap places with a club that you could literally be swapping places in 9 months!!
Things are happening here Ollie, be a big part of it. Don't do a Slew or Tonge.

I doubt that most of the Clubs quoted as being "interested" could afford the fee that we should demand, since we do not need to sell and would need to replace him with a player of similar quality at short notice.
If we accepted less than £40 - 45million then the Club would be guilty of gross negligence
UTB & FTP

Tbh I would rather start Hamer there and get a winger in right now so if silly money comes in...
