APPEAL TO KOP

I watched Chicago Fire in the MLS a couple of years ago on a business trip. They had a little scaffold in their "kop" end with a couple of fans in it getting the songs going while facing the crowd.

I thought this was a good idea, until I realised their main chant is basically the Tetris theme tune.

I'm not joking.

On Topic - I'm in BLUT with the wife, always a good atmosphere up there so doubtless we'll be heard!

Family stand is where we need the most help from. Somone needs to spike the local milk cartons friday morning
We're season tickets in John St. We don't start much going but do respond to Kop and South Stand. We need the GCB starting DURING the game too, most know that and will join in with the rest of us. Both during 1st and 2nd halves. Can't really expect families to sing "Shit on" with 5 year olds in tow.

I'm getting Linz to sew some bells onto my leg blanket.

Loudspeakers are a good idea but I don't think our fans would accept it because we're too 'traditional' and 'brilliant'.

As for BLUT, hopefully it'll be loud and bounce off G/H but it's a shame we couldn't get a group of 30 or so at the back because for this game everybody would've joined in and it would've been non stop.

Regarding standing, Birmingham stood on all sides of the ground in their derby at home to Villa. It's a shame it's so unthinkable that we could do similar.

Cool. I'm sure we could do something with the words to 'Lily The Pink'...

Great atmosphere.

I also won a gallon of milk voucher because the keeper made more than three saves in the game.

From what I've seen in America there's more standing and singing than there is in English grounds. Fans over there are actively making the effort to try and establish something. Fair play to them.

Has the whole Kop ever stood for a full game since it was converted to seating?

Pretty sure there will be noise from the majority of the stands. Family stand need to sing up and make some noise. If you're on your own singing and get to the point where you think...

"Fuck, I'm on my own here - I sound like a knob" -

You most certainly are not, carry on and get everyone else involved.

UTB.

I'm gonna do some overtone singing on the bog. Hope this helps.

Not John Street! I try every home game, but they just want to watch the game... maybe good if we are winning 3-0 :/
Each to their own mate I suppose but it would be great for the atmosphere if all sides made the effort.

It’s on Sky and Talksport are also broadcasting it so let’s try and get the atmosphere across to the viewing and listening public to show people what Bramall Lane can bring to the party, it’s not shown no where near enough nowadays.

When Bramall Lane is rocking there is no finer place.

I went to watch Dresden the midweek before the game at the Sty and their main chant seemed to be something about getting in to Europe to the tune of the Logical Song. I'm also not joking. Will be making noise from gangway E

The lane is something else ask any club that visits. Its partizan it has history roots the support is fully loyal...not like the plastic supported shithole followed by sheep from south Barnsley ....they are in for a big shock Friday night.

Beer helps, as does having children.

You think "Fuck, I'm on my own here", but carry on regardless.

Your kids think "My dad sounds like a knob"

It's what dads are for :D

I expect BLUT to be far more lively than usual tonight.
