Apparently Some Blades Have Been Attacked

Sorry. I'm a stickler for accuracy. I've now audited the thread.
I was actually accused of being a Shitwasp, an Engerland Fan AND a Cuntwaffle.
I have previously asked for the crime of being in the Bladey Boyband to be taken into account.
It is much worse than you think. You have now (in another thread):
1. Collaborated with the S6 propaganda sheet by giving your views on Brooks.
2. Aided and abetted public enemy no. 1 Danny04
3. Praised a youngster who was not born in Sheffield (only one Forum member approves of that)
Your live will not be worth living.;) Actually, I think you might have helped change a few minds.:)

Are you going to Russia ,we apply in the ballot this morning ,planning 3 or 4 games in Moscow then a couple outside ,flights and trains sorted ,just got to find out what games we get now. Admittedly Im not much of an England fan ,but travelling, seeing new places and meeting football fans from all over the world is great fun. The trouble is greatly exaggerated , I saw virtually none at the Euros and went to some 'interesting 'games. Its trendy to lump all football fans in together and tar them with the same brush ,maybe in the papers and on TV ,but on here is a bit sad.
Hi mate. Great post....
We're still undecided about going to Russia. Currently, it's a NO. I'm in the England Supporters Club. They run a loyalty point scheme for tickets. So, if I do go, I'll be able to get tickets to all the England games through them. I'm beginning to find the Big Tournaments a bit of a struggle. Sponsors & the media & other corporates blagging every hotel room for 100 miles. Three rings of security to get through. Two laps around the country if you manage to get to the knock outs. Recently, we've done the U21 EUROs & the U20 World Cup. IMHO a more enjoyable "little football" experience. But, World Cups are superb, proper football, that matters.

My main interest in International Football is in watching England. But, I have enjoyed some "interesting neutral games" on my travels. Including China v North Korea, Iraq v Palestine & Iran v Iraq. Like you say, I've met some great people on my football travels. Friends for life - and my wife..... There's a great little Community of Blades who follow England. Some Rascals mind. But, they'd all do anything to help one another out.

I'm surprised by some of the "Blades NOT England" vitriol & bile on here. It's not like we're playing each other & I have to make a choice who I want to win. I now realise some people see it as Blades OR England. But, I'm happy. For me, it's Blades AND England.
And, then there are the "England are Shit" brigade. Mate, I know. When the Blades have been Shit, I've just stuck with it - you know - like a football fan would. So, when my International Team are Shit. I'll stick with that an' all - you know - like a football fan would.

Good luck in the ticket ballot......

Russia will be fucking horrible, the fact that England will be utterly J. Arthur being the least of our fans' worries.

Yeah, I've been to football in Russia. Loved the hostile atmosphere. Of course, the situation outside of Russia, for eg in Marseilles in the EUROs, is very different. Outside of Russia, you've got 200 hardcore thugs, desperate to try & "prove themselves" on a world stage. Completely different dynamic to games in Russia itself - you know - from my first hand experience.

Here are some more quotes to dip into
"Murder capital of the world"
"Local hooligans having fight offs to see who will take on the English"
"Dead dogs washed up on the beach"
"Local prostitutes learning English Dirty Talk to boost trade"
"Navy ships commandeered as makeshift prisons"
"Shitwasps, Cuntwaffles, Bladey Boyband"

Phil, never mind banging on about England, where is the report from the U18s tremendous win against Forest on Saturday?

For me, I was born to being a Blade but became and England supporter.

As a 14 year old, to watch England lift the World Cup was an unfettered, joyous moment.

However, those uplifting moments watching England have been thin on the ground. An odd quarter or semi final doesn't cut it for me.

Watching the Blades is different. It's interwoven in my DNA. From watching TC running down the wing blowing kisses to the crowd, to Don Givens missing that penalty, to Darlington, to winning the title last season. It's just gut wrenchingly different.

So I am not a Blade NOT England, I'm not a Blade OR England, I'm more of a Blade AND England (but only a bit)

Never really thought about it like that.

Somehow in the odd way that my brain works, United are 'my team' and I'm stuck with them. So I have kept going through thin and thin. What was it that Einstein said about the definition of insanity, being "doing the same thing time after time but expecting a different result"? That is how it has seemed with United over the years.

I always thought England were 'optional', which is daft really as I was born English but didn't have to support the Blades. It has just never seemed that way and I suppose I only have enough space in my life for one lost cause.

Still can't stand the whole Rooney et Billy big bollocks and WAGs crap though.

Good luck with it all and keep the beer notes flowing.

I spent all Saturday night in Alaus biblioteka... wanted to have a walk round but the barman kept giving me tasters that were too good not to have a pint of.

Brilliant comment about sticking with both Blades and England. I only started watching England away a few years ago but have been on some great trips to places which I would have never considered visiting, and met some great people along the way. In fact I wish I'd started years ago.

In a way I can understand some of the people on this site having a stereotypical image of the England fans abroad, as I probably thought the same way until I started going .
Okay there's a few divs but you get that whatever team you follow, (including the Blades), but bye and large I've found the majority of fans who go abroad to watch England are decent football supporters who like a good time, and are knowledgeable about the game.
