"I said to the lads during the week, 'the team's almost like musical chairs."What did he say ?
Why is this thread in ‘Blades General chat’ ?
That it ?"I said to the lads during the week, 'the team's almost like musical chairs."
"Someone gets in and does well but then gets suspended or injured."
"Someone gets in for a game, does well but then has a Holocaust, a nightmare, an absolute disaster."
Is
That it ?
Wrong place for this, it isn't Blades-related.
And if you are going to post about this, at least post what he actually said. He didn't compare the poor performance to "The Holocaust" ie the slaughter of Jews and other minorities during WW2. He said it was "a holocaust, a nightmare, an absolute disaster...."
noun: holocaust; plural noun: holocausts
- 1.
destruction or slaughter on a mass scale, especially caused by fire or nuclear war.
- the mass murder of Jewish people under the German Nazi regime during the period 1941–5. More than 6 million European Jews, as well as members of other persecuted groups such as Romani and gay people, were murdered at concentration camps such as Auschwitz.
noun: the Holocaust
The bloke's rap sheet looks like this.

I sure as hell can't remember any references to Bristol Rovers when I went round Auschwitz.
Oh yeah....now that you mention it....Not even their nickname?
o use the word holocaust in the first place, you've surely got to have had an understanding of what it means
Not that I ever cared about it but at first it seemed like "cancel culture" was about people getting taken off speaking events or shows, but now it seems like being "cancelled" means that Twitter is mad at you for two days until the next meme comes along. It’s in very bad taste.
He won’t be “cancelled” for 2 reasons:
1) of all the terrible things he’s done this ranks somewhere in the middle
2) “cancel culture” is largely made up.
If they just played the clip nobody would care and that would ruin a good story. Also, now that the manufactured outrage is loose, everywhere can hide behind the excuse of "We don't want to repeat such insensitive remarks" as a way to not take any kind of critical position it.I'm not defending his comments by any means, but why does the BBC article add his comments at the end as an afterthought? Most of the article is spent telling you how bad his comments are, without actually telling you what they are.
