5 changes.. chris??

Fleck back in, Johnson for Stevens & Baldock for Injured freeman I get.

But Sharp and Mcgoldrick, why?

Clarke wasn’t deemed fit to come on even when we were chasing on Saturday. The chemistry between sharp/mcgoldrick and the midfield was working well so why not go with that?

Potentially cost us the game by being too bullish with a complete new paring against a defensively solid team.

We probably went with our quickest, most mobile eleven tonight. But Birmingham denied us any space at all, so the pace we had was all wasted. For this one game it may have been better to go with the likes of Freeman, Stevens, McGoldrick and Sharp, as they're more used to how we play, and better at unlocking deep defences through neat passing and patient play than the ones that came in today. In the end we were lucky to get a point as everything seemed to go wrong, very much symbolised by the performance of Norwood.

Contrast between Villa and Bolton performances and tonight was vast. Norwood played like Lee Evans but he did split their defence for our best chance which Baldock made a mess of. No creativity or spark up front. Defence was solid. Egan and Basham played well.

Brum had the best chances hit the post twice and came close another two times and finished stronger. But I still think we'll come good again. Leon has been off the boil for a long time. CW must be scratching his head. No answer to that one. Was hoping for a bit of creativity from Woodburn but it hasn't happened yet. However, we played poorly but got a point. Last year we were playing well and losing. Problem is upfront. We have a good keeper, defence and midfield.

The positive....we won't play any worse than that all season.

And we got a point, and a clean sheet.

With 15 to go and our midfield constantly giving the ball away time and again, I was almost praying for the final whistle. That save from Hendo with 10 to go when they broke on us and it looked certain he would score, won us a point. The save was as good as a goal. Well played Hendo (and Egan and Bash also).

I'm well happy with a point after that. Brum are clearly in a false position also. They are pretty good actually.

Gave the ball away all over the shop. Midfielders who you'd normally expect to keep it safe were making lazy pass after lazy pass.

Coutts can't come back soon enough. He can show the rest of them the art of keeping the ball safe and not needing to be flash to be effective with the ball!

was a strangely un Wilder like performance, lack of cohesion movement was all awry
every option seemed to be the wrong one

same as last season again , first draw v brum at home, uncanny

Johnson and Washington should improve once they fit in hopefully
only plus tonight getting a point and moving into 6th
as owls drop into bottom half

but theres plenty of room for improvement

4 strikers and no shots is a dreadful statistic, as dull a game as I have seen in years.

We could not complain if we had lost, how they did not score is beyond me, even more bizarre is after that crap performance we have gone up the league!
