That's a cheap swipe at Duncs and Foxy.
Slag Blackwell and McCabe all you like but the above two are allowed their thoughts even if you don't agree with them.

OK, sorry Duncs, sorry Foxy. I must stress no offence intended - I enjoy debating with you and fully accept you are not on payroll.

Can anyone enlighten me if McCabe did throw the towel in can anyone please tell me WHO would be prepared to finance my Beloved Blades i have lost track of the amount of clubs trying to find investors willing to bail clubs out of difficulties all you McCabe OUT merchants please inform all us Blades fans WHO is going to take over is it another SAM the SHAM Mayor of Bagdad please lets all get real on this subject and do what most have always done over the years SUPPORT the BLADES over a lifetime you see Chairman ,managers players and So called Supporters come and go some GOOD some BAD to me being a BLADE is turning up at every game humanly possible meeting fellow Blades socialising discussion how good or bad we were then get ready to attend BDTBL or the next venue the team are at. Bramall Lane to me is SHEFFIELD UNITED like i said individuals come and go but the LANE is the Birth place of my Beloved Blades the only time i will ever question my support is if some numpty decides for us to move over the years i have seen All four sides of the ground develop into what is now a superb venue and i believe will again entertain the best this sport can offer when who knows but hopefully sooner than later and hopefully i will still be around to witness it at the end of the day " WERE ALL BLADES ARN'T WE ".

Realistically Len SWFC are in no way a stronger financial position than us. What is their defined plan for receiving investment? Their bank is naturally friendly but what about their other creditors namely D Allen? They have a chairman who does indeed communicate with their fans, most of which seems to be ill considered drivel or attacks on fans who dare question him. As for interest payments again it depends on what type of assets the debt is secured against, ie do they pay a return? SUFC are clearly not in a fantastic financial condition, I doubt very much ours is amongst the worst in the division.

Their debts are half ours, they have a better manager and D Allen can do nothing because he now owns Chesterfield.

But it's not blind faith, where has this dividing line come from again? We know things aren't rosy, I've pointed as much out in other threads. We know the finances are a bit of a mess at the moment, but I still believe that in the long term were still not far off having a successful business model to work from.

And yes, there's been a decline in the standard of player (I don't see how any club in this division can sustain a wage bill that we had at the start of the season and we've reduced it accordingly), but that decline is fully in line with the decline we're going to see in football as a whole from the summer onwards. I think there will be some stark realisation come the summer that clubs are living well out of their means and assets are going to be stripped from a lot of play-off/promotion chasing clubs - Forest and Cardiff being the two who's gonna have to face up sharpish.

We all know there's problems, but these problems are widespread and could easily apply to a lot of clubs in this division. What I'll still do on a matchday is turn up and support the team, despite who's in charge. This bitter and poisonous attitude our fans have developed is not doing us any favours at all.

What is not turning up really going to achieve? If you think that McCabe isn't fully aware of the situation then you're all wetter behind the ears than I thought. I think he's fully aware of the supporters feeling towards the management and I'm sure he'll do something about it if he see's fit. It's very naive to think a multi million pound company doesn't monitor it's customers views, I'm sure the likes of Trevor Birch are reporting back to him all the time and their minions are canvassing opinion from this very board as well as others.

I don't like Blackwell, I don't know anyone that really does but I think for the job that had to be done this season he's made a good fist of it given the injury problems. But I do like my club and as a supporter of the club I'll be doing what I can to see us get a result on Saturday - in what should be a decent game against the Dingles.

Nailed it in one.

If that's the case Wards, why are they risking the loss of season ticket sales by not acting on these feelings that they are so aware of. The income from those sales should be their no.1 priority at the moment and they should act accordingly in order to secure them. Steve Gibson put 'bums on seats' before a manager he was always determined to back. The club comes first and the supporters are the club. I quite honestly don't think the directors have a clue about the severity of our problems on the pitch. Mainly because one doesn't understand the game in the same depth as an average supporter and the other doesn't know the club well enough yet to understand.

I think the powers that be at our football club are completely out of touch with the supporters and this is why there is an impasse. Don't put too much faith into people you don't know. At the end of the day we are all making assumptions about what we believe to be true based on our own experiences/feedback etc.

The only thing that I can't get my head round at the moment is why KM won't come out and make a statement or address the supporters. It smacks of either someone that no longer cares or doesn't want to face criticism. Either way it is intensifying the bad feeling amongst the supporters and driving a wedge between them and the club. Such a shame because I felt at one time he was very forward thinking and was a strong leader we could all admire. He seems to have disappeared a bit and I for one am looking for him to come out and be the man again

Surely D Allen can still be a pain in the arse to them as doesnt he still own around 25% of the shares?

Also they may have half the debt but they have none of the assets. Surely in a few years when the property market goes up again our assets will then be worth much more and be a good stream of income whereas the piggs will have didly squat

Neither do I. You'll only find Duncan Disorderly and probably Foxy who do - both of whom I believe are on McCabe's payroll!

Nice of you to decide what I probably will think, instead of giving my opinion on this one, I might let you type it for me. ;)

I wish I was on his payroll, the financial transactions between me and SUFC however are very heavily weighted in their favour.

What exactly are our property assets?

The absolute level of the debt is meaningless. All creditors can be an issue especially when someone looks to restructure the capital structure of a firm. Do they have a better manager? Using league position (at current and former clubs) as a guide no they do not. The objective 'fact' in all of this is that Len appearances are inversely related to United results.

Cool, let's up it to £100m then.

Im not saying I know anything about this really but it was my understanding that all the debt we are in is for ventures such as the Hotel etc which have value and are property. Didnt we also own a chain of sports clubs down south too although I think we sold them

No worries Len. The government are proposing to let fans run clubs. Surely United's salvation will be at hand once guru Lenners is in chanrge.

Yes, I didn't think you'd be able to answer.
And I'd fully support more fans ownership and involvement in ownership at all clubs.

Has anyone seen or heard from a Trevor Birch or a Kevin McCabe recently?
Birch is the chief executive of a major English football club struggling with its finances and rapidly losing its customers.
McCabe is the multi-millionaire owner of the same club and is believed to need those customers to help repay him money.
If anyone sees either of these men, please encourage them to make contact with the supporters of Sheffield United.

My thoughts too Len , I am waiting for a statement of intent from them before renewing ... if it comes after the discount deadline I won't be buying one !

Know what you are saying but what if the statement of intent is 'Blackwell is doing a good job and will be in charge at the start of next season. We will continue to manage the wage bill so that it is no more than 60% of our turnover and any signings will be free transfers unless players leave for cash fees'?

The increasing prospect (in my eyes) of a sacking is possibly generating some sales?

I'd appreciate that more than the deafening silence.
We're currently being treated like fools with little more than two weeks before the deadline.
It's very, very poor from the club.

Our financial reality is worse than most. We've lost parachute payments and are paying for the Robbo era gambles we made on Beattie, Naysmith et al.

Other clubs will be scaling back, but not to the extent we have.

I am so sick of this Robson nonsense, Beattie nonsense etc when we were happy to pay Greg Halford the equivalent wage of James Beattie to loan him... that was something McCabe conveniently left out of his football is dying on its financial arse rants when we sold JB. Halford was signed on loan BY KB, well after Robson had gone on £28k a week - in a season we were supposed to be flapping about being skint.

Thatl be why we got him on loan then and not signed him, we could afford it for a few months but not afford to sign him on that fee for a few years.

All the Robson stuff seems perfectly obvious and correct to me, we pushed the boat out and gambled on getting promoted, we failed and couldnt afford to sustain those players we had gambled on. doesnt seem like nonsense to me

I will be doing a lot more fishing !
