apathy rules amongst blades fans, i wonder how many if any read forums like this and "contract" the apathy contained within.
the players we have could do with a little backing instead of bashing.
monty maybe the next frank lampard, yeats vying for ronaldo as best winger in the world and ched winning championship golden boot.
Heres to evolution to the beautiful game being played by the blades and managers such as wenger commenting on how nice to see the football at BDTBL.
Well reality calls and i gotta answer.

Apathy is a word used by those who cant stand losing or not being successful. I never feel apathy towards SUFC. Whilst I realise we're going through one of our typical spells languishing in the second tier....I still love nothing more than getting up on a saturday morning and getting ready for my trip to BDTBL. Good times will come again and they will go again, thats football and everyone has to have a turn on the merry-go-round.

Apathy? What apathy? Its a football team not a political movement! If you cant enjoy supporting you're football club then there is no point supporting them IMO. Criticism and discussion about the negatives are fine....I get involved myself. But I dont act like its the end of the world. Football was created for fun and enjoyment....a lot of people in the game forgot that a long time ago.

Win or lose they'll always be my Blades :)

I disagree. I'm not apathetic at all about the blades at the moment, but there were times last season when i really didn't give a shit.

Same, but it's this season for me.

Maybe Apathy was the wrong word, but it does seem that more blades go to games expecting the worst and just go to complain about how it was better back in the day, i myself followed MY blades to burscough in the cup when we were in the old div4 and still believe every week we will win, but around the lane recently pessimism rules supreme. we could be in a far worse mess, we could be in S6 :)
my point i guess is life as a blade could be better BUT it could be far worse.

politics!? ;-) more important than politics (to paraphrase the great bill shankly).. LOL

Thing is we are in a state of transition at the moment, new manager, fairly new players, new style of play trying to be played. Its too early yet to tell which way this is all going to go. We might have our opinions and feelings how things will pan out but there hasnt been enough games yet for any genuine firm conclusions.

So here we all are, wondering, waiting, some with optimism, some with a fair degree of pessimism, and others like me scratching our heads and not having a clue yet which way this season is going to turn.

so we start squabbling among ourselves for sheer entertainment sake.. sounds about right to me :-)
